[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Doom (film) do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. PTJoshua (talk) 01:16, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Silent Hill (film) with this edit. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to DOA: Dead or Alive with this edit. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. This is your last warning; the next time you harm Wikipedia, as you did at In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale with this edit, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for spamming or advertising. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

Your reason here Hi there i am sorry for my behavior on wiki and didn't realize that what i was doing was considered spamming, the website that i posting was the website that i have been using for some time, in my contributions to wiki. the information found there i found nowhere else. and thought that it would be good resource to others, and i felt that they were no different than Imdb. I am sorry and apologize for my actions. i got carried away with my posting and will be more than happy to undo any of my posts that you have any problems with. and i am not affiliated with the site other than a viewer, and i hope i didnt damage the sites reputation like your post said it would. Thank you for your time.

Accept reason:

For more than a year, your only contributions to Wikipedia have been to promote a web site 25 times over the course of a month. That's some pretty extreme, long-term promotion. On the other hand, you were essentially blocked without warning, despite how it might otherwise appear. Even though there are 4 warnings on your talk page, they were a minute apart and you were blocked 5 minutes after the first warning. I don't fault the blocking administrator (again, 25 times?!) but your insistence that you were unaware of the warnings is a plausible one. I hope you've learned not to do that again, and I'll give you another chance, but if you engage in any more promotion in the future I doubt you'll be unblocked. -- Atama 01:13, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
