Fascinating. I have nominated the article for WP:DYK; feel free to suggest an alternate hook. I am looking forward to seeing some images, and reading more about Hungarian created comics! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 20:54, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Certainly; I have created Polish comics some time ago, but I had no good materials to expand it beyond a pitful stub.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 21:33, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is a request at DYK page for inline citation for the hook. Please check it out.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 18:20, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ithink the article could be a GA with some more work - it would be best to fix everything from the PR and then ask for a second look. I am also thinking a copyedit would help to polish the prose. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 03:44, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

DYK

[edit]
Updated DYK query On 7 February, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Hungarian comics, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Hungary

[edit]

What you wrote is very nice but it's in the wrong article and some of it is actually redundant (duplicated) just a few sentences below. Hobartimus (talk) 00:18, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Magveto.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Magveto.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 23:24, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for reminding me, but I like to first upload the image, then edit its page with adding the fair use rationale table. You have listed the image for deletion within two minutes. Maybe you could be a little bit more patient, since I added the needed info in about 10 minutes. Zoli79 (talk) 09:22, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bande Dessinée

[edit]

Hello ! Today I created a portal dedicated to the Bande Dessinée genre, ie franco-belgian comics. I saw that you are in the Wikipedia:WikiProject Comics/European comics work group, so I insisted on inviting you to look at the portal and to help me manage it, because I am a newest contributor. I think we can link the portal to the european comics work group and move this project toward a "Band Dessinée work group". Do you think it is a good idea and could help me for that ? --18:39, 8 August 2008 (UTC)Pah777 (talk)

Hungarian comics

[edit]

Szia. Nem lenne kedved elkészíteni a Hungarian comics szócikket a magyar nyelvű Wikipédián is? Jól jönne egy forrásokkal ilyen szépen ellátott áttekintő írás ebben a témakörben minálunk. Vegas Bleeds Neon (talk) 13:39, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Azért ezzel az egy cikkel igazán hozzájárulhatnál a szent célhoz ;-) Én nem fogom tudni lefordítani mert most próbálok valami egységes minőségi rendszert kialakítani a képregényes szócikkek számára. Sajnálatos módon a Narutos dolgok a leglátogatottabbak a magyar Wikin, azokat is megpróbálom valahogy rendberakni... képzelheted... Vegas Bleeds Neon (talk) 16:42, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hungarian comics - B-class assessment

[edit]

Nice work there and the article has really benefitted from the extra attention. I've left some thoughts on tweaking the article but nothing that holds it back from a B-class assessment. Congratulations.

It is a big topic and they can be awfully difficult to get proper coverage and referencing for, so this is an impressive achievement. It should also be possible to give it the extra polish to get it to GA standard - you have done the bulk of the hard work now, it is just a matter of going through it, copy editing if needed and adding as many good sources as possible. (Emperor (talk) 21:49, 24 June 2009 (UTC))[reply]

A tag has been placed on Paul Winkler (publisher) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
