Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to War of 1812 Bicentennial. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. The bracketed information about/title of this link does not seem to be supported by the link provided in "http://www.warof1812rph.com/ War of 1812 Bicentennial Commemoration Steering Committee, Brantford, Brant County, Six Nations and Mississauga of the New Credit". The link is to a website about a self-published book that is about certain aspects of the War of 1812. Shearonink (talk) 05:13, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

If you read WP:SPS you will see that we don't use self-published sources (with the rare and not automatic exception of cases where they are by a recognised expert. As your book is "self published and distributed" by you, I'm afraid it can't be used. Please don't add it again. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 05:16, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to War of 1812. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. [edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at War of 1812, you may be blocked from editing. Begoontalk 02:26, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm CorbieVreccan. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Wampum without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - CorbieV 23:42, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Zygmunt Misiak requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
