{{Helpme}}
Good day (or evening), I have written a new article and have included lots of citations (references) but still it tells me that I need more. I have no idea what I did wrong. I have picked most of the information from a particular source. Most other information is actually references themselves. It is the article about Dr. Michel Fattouche that is in My Contributions. Help!!!!
- I'm a little confused. The banner date is January 2008, yet your first edit (complete with the banner!) is 16:02, 21 December 2010 - has the article been copied from another page or another site? The banner will not go away on it's own, someone added it to whatever page you used, and it stays until you remove it - it's the first line in the edit window - {{BLP sources|date=January 2008}}. Thank you. I removed the banner; I think (just before I got your message - hence the uncertainty). The article now does not display the requirement for more citations. However, I cannot see it in a search of Michel Fattouche. Is there something else that is wrong?

Fair use rationale for File:Calgarians of the year.PDF
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Calgarians of the year.PDF. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 02:40, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for your effort at contributing to the Wikipedia, especially if you are a newcomer. The Wikipedia community owes its newcomers a lot, and continues to value this as per policy and per practice.
That said, the article you created at Hatim Zaghloul seems to be erroneously placed, as it seems to consist of information you give about yourself. Aimed at being an encyclopedia, Wikipedia's main (article) namespace is not generally the best place for this. In order to preserve the results of your effort for you, and since the article appears to be about you, I have moved it for you to your user space, which is the best location for a user's information about themselves in the first place.
If you really did mean to create an article about yourself, please be aware that this is often considered a bad idea, even if you do meet the guidelines for inclusion of biographies.
I know Wikipedia can be confusing for new editors, so you are welcome to ask for help at the help desk or on my talk page.
As a technical note (and please don't be put off by the grown elaborate nature of some parts of the expression of Wikipedia's rules - as you will soon find out, they're by no means all that technical), as per Wikipedia standards and principles (available from e.g. here), an autobiographic article is usually eligible for deletion without further discussion under criterion A7 in the criteria for speedy deletion as an article about a real person that does not assert the importance or significance of its subject. Colliding with this criterion is considered a common mistake to avoid. Guy (Help!) 11:02, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
Conflict of interest
[edit]You have a clear conflict of interest in respect of Michel Fattouche. As you apparently have legal action pending, you may not write about yourself, Michel Fattouche or the standards in which you are involved. Guy (Help!) 11:21, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

I wrote an article "Michel Fattouche." It was deleted on two grounds: 1. it had no external citations (references) and 2. it had some conflict of interest (some of the subject matter was in a court case). The first issue was artificial since the person who recommended deleting the article had himself deleted the external references that were originally included. The second one has been nullified since the litigation has been settled favorably. I am not sure how to get the article back in. I have to admit that I am very disappointed with this exercise since it seems Wiki was pressured to remove the article by the big boys (Intel, Broadcom and other big WiFi players). However, this is a conjecture from my side.
Another article that my daughter wrote based on the first article was moved as an auto-biography (or whatever they call it) to be under my own account (originally it was under "Hatim Zaghloul"). I do not know what to do about this. Again, I think the editor was biased.

- It is unlikely that Intel, Broadcom, etc., were involved. Since it was deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michel Fattouche, you have basically two options—you can request a Deletion review, in order to have the deletion decision re-examined; or, you can submit a request at Articles for creation with a new version that addresses the issues raised in the deletion debate. Whichever you decide, I can provide a copy of the deleted article in your userspace on request. Feezo (send a signal | watch the sky) 01:39, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
I would appreciate if you could provide the original article (the one with the references that the editor deleted before stating that there were no external references). Do I have to create the article with a different title? What about my own article?
- Here it is: User:Zhatim/Michel Fattouche. Was there another one? Feezo (send a signal | watch the sky) 20:29, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Hatim Zaghloul 2012.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Hatim Zaghloul 2012.jpg, which you've sourced to Mariam Zaghloul. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Dianna (talk) 03:18, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
MfD nomination of User:Zhatim/Michel Fattouche
[edit]User:Zhatim/Michel Fattouche, a page which created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. You are free to edit the content of User:Zhatim/Michel Fattouche during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Michel Fattouche
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Michel Fattouche, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. programmingGeek(talk, contribs) 05:29, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
