Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. A tag has been placed on 69 Sexy Things to do Before You Die, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of 69 Sexy Things to do Before You Die and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Cheers Kyle1278 20:18, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

When you recreated the article (I assume you did after deletion) you included the speedy deletion tag, and the hang on tag, I removed them as the article is not a strictly promotional article anymore. You do however need to provide citations from reliable sources to verify the content. Cheers. --kelapstick (talk) 21:29, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:69Sexy.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:69Sexy.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 21:41, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(Per this edit, where you claim to be an employee of Playboy Enterprises.)

If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

Proposed deletion of E-Rotic (TV series)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article E-Rotic (TV series), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

A Google search for E-Rotic tv show yielded at most one link of apparent notability on the first page. A search was confounded by the number of links to shows described by the term sans hyphen. GNews offers nothing but typographical errors, and it only seems to offer two of those. No sources have been provided other than the main page in spite of sitting for nearly a month.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion of "World Of Playboy2"

[edit]

A page you created, World Of Playboy2, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, you removed all content from the page or otherwise requested its deletion.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Zhang He (talk) 23:25, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of James Glasscock

[edit]

The article James Glasscock has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability per WP:BIO

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Tabercil (talk) 12:28, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:PURISTA-LOGO wTAGLINE WHITE.pdf)

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:PURISTA-LOGO wTAGLINE WHITE.pdf. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. AfD Nomination: PURISTA Mojito Blackberry

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that PURISTA Mojito Blackberry meets these criteria, I have started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted. I have included in this nomination the articles PURISTA Margarita and PURISTA Caipirinha.

Your opinion on whether these articles meet the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PURISTA Mojito Blackberry. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last seven days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. JohnCD (talk) 14:26, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an advertising notice-board. Please read the guidelines on Advertising and Conflict of Interest and the FAQ/Organizations before posting any more articles about this company and its products and staff. JohnCD (talk) 14:32, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Two more points:

  • I have raised the issue of these articles at the Conflict of Interest Noticeboard here;
  • A word of advice about editing technique - rather than making and saving very large numbers of small edits, it is better to use the "Show preview" button, make any further changes, "Show preview" again, and only click "Save page" when you have made all the changes you want at the moment. Large numbers of small edits make it harder to follow the history, and are also an unnecessary load on the servers which have to keep track of every individual version in the history.

[edit]

I understand that your company has been "has been garnering independent PR and traction via web articles and releases", but Wikipedia is extremely resistant to being used for promotion in this way - hence all the advice you have been getting about our Conflict of Interest policy. Incidentally, my reference to Playboy was not intended to suggest that PURISTA has any connection - it was cited as evidence of COI, to show that James Glasscock and user Zepolekim had both been connected first with Playboy and then with PURISTA. I said in my AfD nomination that I thought the PURISTA and Glasscock articles were probably notable, but that's not to say that another user may not challenge them - Wikipedia has no central authority for this kind of thing. The most important thing is to give independent references. There is good advice on editing with a COI at User:Uncle G/On notability#Writing about subjects close to you:

When writing about subjects that are close to you, don't use your own personal knowledge of the subject, and don't cite yourself, your web site, or the subject's web site. Instead, use what is written about the subject by other people, independently, as your sources. Cite those sources in your very first edit. If you don't have such sources, don't write... Similarly, if you are writing about your company, then use independent articles written about your company as sources, not your company's autobiography and press releases. If there are no such sources, don't write about your company.

If you were thinking of making articles about Synergy Beverages and Michael Hensel, I would advise against it - it would reinforce the impression of a PR campaign.

Fair use rationale for File:Dropout deliquents.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Dropout deliquents.jpg.
