Welcome!

[edit]

I noticed you had a red-linked talk page despite being around for a while, so while I'm here for the message below, belated welcome! Opabinia regalis (talk) 04:31, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

FYI on merges

[edit]

Hi, I just commented on the AfD discussion for defective interfering particle - thanks for noticing the issue! - but I wanted to leave you a note about the process. You suggested turning the article into a redirect, which is a good idea, but those discussions can be opened as merge discussions rather than deletion discussions. A good place to post about proposed mergers and other article questions in this topic area is at the Molecular and Cellular Biology Wikiproject. Hope to see you around! • Thanks for your welcome! Although I've done a couple small edits, I'm new to inputting any major information or changing things. Getting further into my degree means small gaps or inconsistencies in Wikipedia's biomedical knowledge become a little more apparent, so I'm trying to find a bit of time to help. Thanks for the advice, I'll definitely keep it in mind, and I've watched the Molecular and Cellular Biology Wikiproject page. rhodesj971 (talk) 13:28, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Great! I should have linked this one before also, but there is a more active talk page with many of the same users at Wikiproject Medicine that you might be interested in also. Opabinia regalis (talk) 23:00, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Interview for The Signpost

[edit]

This is being sent to you as a member of WikiProject Molecular and Cellular Biology

The WikiProject Report would like to focus on WikiProject Molecular and Cellular Biology for a Signpost article. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Multiple editors will have an opportunity to respond to the interview questions, so be sure to sign your answers. If you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Thanks, Rcsprinter123 (pronounce) @ 18:06, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Viruses

[edit]

Thank you for joining our project! I am currently in the process of a massive overhaul of literally hundreds of pages (mostly families and genera, but also including an update of the List of viruses, List of genera of viruses, and List of virus families, and the creation of the Taxonomic list of viruses to reflect the current ICTV standard). All of my information has been pulled from ViralZone and the ICTV 2014 v3 release, but I have no experience in virology or immunology; I just know enough to write some basic programs. If you have the time and interest, please check through the pages you are most familiar with to check for any mistakes. Just go to my contributions page to see what I've been working on. Thanks!
