The article Malka Older has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. [edit]Thank you for your recent contributions, such as Iman Verjee. Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft version first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, with less risk of deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you. Domdeparis (talk) 02:53, 2 April 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, did this exercise achieve anything? If not, it is probably irrelevant; if it did, what? - Sitush (talk) 07:59, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Kateryna Handziuk
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Kateryna Handziuk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from multiple sources. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - I deleted the article because every single line was copied from an external source, and the article was not salvageable. If you recreate it, please make sure that it does not contain copyright violations.--Ymblanter (talk) 18:59, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Ymblanter - thanks for your quick review, I was still working on the page though and was just finding more references. If you could un-delete it, I will work on rephrasing the text in there! thanks. (or - is there a way I can see the references/text that was in there already?)
- I restored it here - the text is now hidden below the template. Please make sure there is not copy-paste and even no close paraphrasing, and then ping me, I will do the necessary administration and move it to the main namespace--Ymblanter (talk) 19:17, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- thanks Ymblanter - I've edited the text now, could you take a look when you get a chance? thanks!
- No, that's not good. I took a random phrase - "and an outspoken critic of the national police in the region", sourced to Gromadske TV, and, well, it was copy-pasted from the site of Gromadske TV. This is exactly what you need to avoid.--Ymblanter (talk) 20:04, 5 November 2018 (UTC)

It is now at Kateryna Handziuk, back in the mainspace. I encourage you to expand it. Please be mindful to avoid close paraphrasing and copyvios. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 17:23, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
