Information icon Hello, I'm Aintabli. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Aintabli (talk) 07:44, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Aintabli: I just added name of the word in Kurdish. Khanqah or Sufi lodge is famous among Kurds and there are many famous headquarters of Khanqa in Kurdistan like other nations and countries. does this exactly require a source? Zamand Karim (talk) 14:25, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Shabankara, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. HistoryofIran (talk) 22:28, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@HistoryofIran sounds funny. just a normal edit, do you need to put this notice on my talk page? Zaman (talk) 22:32, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If it was a “normal edit“, I wouldn't have done that. Please read my edit summary. HistoryofIran (talk) 22:36, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@HistoryofIran "doesnt seem very neutral" what is this nonsense? what do you even mean? you could set cn for the other language as well. and gave no explanation as to why you removed the romanization? u wrote a summary edit so you dont have to come to my talkpage. Zaman (talk) 22:48, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, adding CN for only unsourced Persian but not unsourced Kurdish is not neutral. No, others should not finish your half-complete edit. And I just merely restored the original revision, hence why the romanization also got removed (which shouldn't be there, nor should Persian and Kurdish since they're unsourced). And thus I came here. HistoryofIran (talk) 23:21, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@HistoryofIran What are you even talking about? I always add cn for a text so that the target includes the previous text. why do you see things as you are. I haven't even thought about it, huh. Zaman (talk) 23:30, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, but that makes no sense. Anyways, what you did is clear here [1]. HistoryofIran (talk) 23:36, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Gordyene. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. HistoryofIran (talk) 21:50, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also, calling me a "farsist" (whatever that means) and my edits non-neutral without any proof is pure WP:ASPERSIONS/WP:NPA [2]. And I know understand why you don't like warnings, your talk page history is full of it [3]. In other words, I have plenty of proof to take to WP:ANI if you continue. HistoryofIran (talk) 21:52, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@HistoryofIran Yeah, what I expected, these words, I know what you want, on the pretext of 'Wikipedia rules' (which I respect much) exactly what you don't want to see: 'Kurd' why don’t you go get some rest? nt: my talk page history, which is common mistakes made by new users, is irrelevant. and im right that youre a farsist (maybe اطلاعات) glo. Zaman (talk) 22:07, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
These don't look like "common mistakes made by new users" to me [4] [5] [6] [7]. You don't know me, and never will; cease the attacks, including the namecalling. HistoryofIran (talk) 22:10, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I dont know you, but you make me want to know you with your funny words. u used to say "your edits dont look natural" which I didnt even know what you meant (I understand now) isn't it normal for you if I tell you the same thing? why are you upset with a word? isnt this against rules? Zaman (talk) 22:16, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't say "your edits dont look natural", I said your edit at Shabankara was not neutral, as you have already been explained - feel free to read it again. And sorry to dissapoint you, but you're still not going to know me - ever. However, you have not shown one single proof of me being non-neutral. Instead, you have resorted to namecalling and WP:ASPERSIONS. Do better. HistoryofIran (talk) 22:20, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@HistoryofIran good that you understood your purpose. good look Zaman (talk) 22:40, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That makes no sense. Is this an attempt at provoking me? HistoryofIran (talk) 22:40, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just wishin' you good luck? now u can end this discussion. Zaman (talk) 23:46, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Very funny. Let me say it in a language that you might understand then: next time you make any sort of attack against me (including namecalling), I will report you to WP:ANI. HistoryofIran (talk) 23:54, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
ok [Laughs while eating chips] Zaman (talk) 00:05, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yet another provocative comment. And now you disregarded Template:Infobox country [8]. HistoryofIran (talk) 00:24, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Adiabene, you may be blocked from editing. HistoryofIran (talk) 00:26, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why don't you put this in another section? Zaman (talk) 00:28, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to the topics of Kurds and Kurdistan, broadly construed, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Reliable sources

[edit]

Hi Zemen, reminder to make sure you're using reliable sources as citations for your edits. If something is on a wordpress blog, for example, it's very unlikely to be a reliable source. We're looking for sources from major news organizations and academic journals, that sort of thing. -- asilvering (talk) 22:46, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know, I'm trying to learn faster.+ please revert any edits if they aren't good. Zaman (talk) 23:09, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I recommend installing User:Headbomb/unreliable, which isn't accurate all the time, but will help you get a general sense for what is and isn't reliable. Many sources that aren't reliable won't be flagged by that script, since it works off the list at WP:RSP. If you're not sure about a source, feel free to go to WP:TEA to ask for help from experienced editors. -- asilvering (talk) 00:00, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Simplicity

[edit]

Since you say you do not understand what personal attacks you've made, let's make this simple. If you ever refer to Historyofiran's ethnicity in any way ever again, I will block you indefinitely. If you ever make a comment about what you think HistoryofIran's motivations are ever again, I will block you indefinitely. I realize these are not the only issues, and the discussion is not over at ANI, and I don't know how that is going to end up, but this should at least deal with the low hanging fruit. Floquenbeam (talk) 16:14, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Floquenbeam: He started this, what do you think "your edits don't look neutral" means? just because I didn't put a CN tag in a text. thats unpleasant for me to be accused of being racist without mean anything bad. well, I know you know what he meant by that. except constant spamming with warning tags and replies on my talk page for only 3 wrong edits, that could have warned me in the edit summary. Zaman (talk) 17:51, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That has nothing to do with his ethnicity or his motivation. The warning stands, and is not negotiable. Floquenbeam (talk) 17:57, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I hoped you would send him the same notice that he would at least have a good point of view towards other users, and not suspect them of racism [for the sake of his language or anythin related to him]. thanks. Zaman (talk) 18:06, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Zemen, I want to reiterate what I said in the ANI thread: these notices are a very normal part of how editors communicate on wikipedia, and you are going to have to accept that sometimes people will use them on your talk page. Discussing things in edit summaries is often a poor way to communicate and can lead to edit wars instead of useful discussion. You have to assume good faith and remain civil. -- asilvering (talk) 18:14, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
well, i take responsibility for my mistake. "told him four times to end this discussion, which he didn't and escalated the discussion for no reason". hope you feel it, how someone is defined without knowing their purpose. Zaman (talk) 18:33, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ł, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kurdish. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
