Using templates
Hi, Zahid. Thanks for warning vandals. I went along to a vandal's talk page to give a warning, and saw that you had just done it. I just thought I'd let you know, though, that it's better if you use {{subst:test1}} or {{subst:bv}} rather than {{subst:test1}} and {{bv}}. It expands directly into the same message, but if the template is vandalized, the original message remains on the person's talk page. It also, apparently, lessens the strain on the server. For further information, please see Wikipedia:Template substitution. Thanks. AnnH (talk) 22:57, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
- I was only told about it myself recently. And by the way, welcome! :-)AnnH (talk) 23:01, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Guillen
Hello Saber on My article on Bible Society:I was searching for weblinks to CATHOLIC persecution against Bible Societies when you delete my comments. As a muslim, you must to comment only on Qu´ran instead. And what it is rights from participants in Wikipedia against racists as Stephan?. By the way How I makes contacvt with Ducharnis,Stephan et al,there are no way to write them?. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Guillen (talk • contribs) .
- This exposure to public scorn is no harassment?.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Guillen (talk • contribs) .
- Adding the template {{unsigned}} to unsigned comments is standard Wikipedia policy, and not meant as an attack. It helps readers to figure out who wrote what. Signing contributions on talk pages is a Wikipedia guideline, see Wikipedia:Sign your posts on talk pages. Calling someone a racist, on the other hand, violates WP:NPA, the Wikipdia policy against personal attacks. Assuming you are referring to me, is there any evidence in my writing on Wikipedia, on the net, or even on paper that your accusation has any base in reality? You can reply on User talk:Stephan Schulz if you do not want to further incommodate Zahid (Zahid: I have no idea how I ended up in this. Sorry for cluttering up your talk page). --Stephan Schulz 17:18, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Anon vandal
Thanks for letting me know. I've gave him a 31 hour block. The anon's IP address has also been automatically added to the CVU's blacklist, so it should be easier for an RC patroller to keep an eye out on the anon's further edits. --LBMixPro<Speak|on|it!> 07:24, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
Vandal fighting
First of all, excellent job on vandal-fighting, and welcome to Wikipedia. You might want to use a different edit summary than the (admittedly cool-sounding) "undoing the done," as it makes it unclear what you just edited and why. Perhaps at least prefacing the signature phrase with "-rvv" would make it clear what you are doing. Hope this helps. --Goodoldpolonius2 18:41, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
Someone Vandalized My Image, Thanks for the Fix
I noticed that you reverted someone vandalizing the picture I had of on my userpage. So I would like to thank you for that. Also, I would like to thank you for being such an ardent vandal fighter! After looking through some of your contributions I am not only impressed, I'm damn near amazed. If you ever want to run for an administrator, shoot a message on my talk page and I'll be sure to vote. --Nick Catalano (Talk) 10:00, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
Petition
Hi, I was just wondering if you would like to sign this petition. It's a petition for getting the original voice actors back for the Sonic games (instead of the Sonic X voice actors). 71.105.13.135 01:33, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
Reminder...
When using template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. — Ian Manka Talk to me‼ 21:28, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

Signs
Now look, Saabar .... I don't mean to vandilize this website, but this is 2006. Things should be different, when I post something new, it's not about one person, it's about the world. Now I not making fun or messing up 50 Cents website by putting Cancer, his own sign to let people know that he was born in July. I put it on there so people would be interested in him. They already are but some people like me are not, so that's why I put it there. Posting nonsense is stuff that dosen't make any sense. I would like to show you what I mean but I don't want to mess up your website. I would like to put out signs for everybody but I will need your approval or else you'll keep on deleting it. I disscussed this in "Capricorns". - Saturday, 20 May 2006/10:11 P.M. - A Different World
Asian texts
Heh thanks for the message, I've noticed too and my using a text editor seems to have caused more work than it saved... (I've been manually reversing them too)

Sorry, man. I was just trying to blow off steam and possibly make Wikipedia:Bad_Jokes_and_Other_Deleted_Nonsense
Thanks...
Thanks for reverting the unwelcome changes to my user page! --Stephan Schulz 14:45, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

VandalSniper
Thanks for applying to use VandalSniper! You have been approved. If have not already done so, you may find instructions to install VS on the project page.
As some of the libraries VandalSniper runs on are currently in transition, there have been a few issues reported with setup. At the moment, Linux is the most compatible platform for VS. My edit of Famous Jewish Business men was approriate. I am part of a group that is going to donate a substantial sum to Wikipedia. If you edit my writings about a close colleague one more time I will go to our trustees and tell them to take our money elsewhere.

Re: Mark Steyn
Are you as much of a bore (and a boor) in real life? I hardly think the link is an act of promotion - it's not my site! I merely linked it to highlight that he has something of a cult following - it is no different to the 'Unofficial Fan Page' of any number of celebrities to be found on Wikipedia. Though it is a blog so is the Johann Hari link in the article - and it doesn't say 'No links to blogs' it says (as you so kindly highlighted) 'To be avoided' which is subtly but emphatically different. You are being numbingly pedantic.

Come Now Don't Think I'm That Naive :P
Come now, please don't get a person all anticipated for something as you did with the edit summary you left on my user page :P. Heh, I was trying to help User:Ram-Man protect his page, because from experience I know what its like to have a vandal page target. Anyways, thanks for keeping the edit clean and tidying up some old spelling/grammar mistakes from the past.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 05:57, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
All Saints Academy
Hey i was wondering why the All Saints Academy Page was deleted. I added the portion about Latin, but other students added the rest. When it was reverted back to a few days ago, i just went ahead and reedited it to how it was before. A lot of students and teachers are starting to look at the page, and many have expressed interest in editing it. I don't know why you called my revisions vandalism, but i think that at least our school ought to have a wikipedia page. Jonster71 16:27, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
Reply to All Saints Academy
I can understand how it must be for someone else reading the part about latin, but the teacher actually does refer to himself as claudius and has claudius wirten on all of his latin books. thats alright if you don't know about the deletion itself. thanks for responding, though. Re: New College, University of Toronto edit family (?)

Thanks for Revert
Thank-you for the vandalism revert on University of Trinity College.
Black People
No, that was meant to be an edit. It is important to know that Micheal Jackson tried to modify his looks to look like his favorite childhood hero; Peter Pan, who looks a lot like a pointy year elf. Some of his features are clearly elven and not black (such as the nose). Redirects
Whenever I did the redirects to the Yasser Arafat article, I did them to the correct location. Whenever I was fixing the redirects on December 3, it was pointing to the title Yaser Arafat. December 7 another user moved the article without changing the redirects. Sorry, but I'm not the person you should be talking to about this.
Please, before warning someone about checking the redirects of an article, see that the article hadn't moved itself, because I did nothing wrong. semper fi — Moe 01:06, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
