facts behind the blackout

[edit]

I discussed your apparent role in a blogpost of mine here. If any of my facts are incorrect I welcome correction.--Brian Dell (talk) 07:38, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Concerns

[edit]

Zack: recent messages on the Wikimedia-L email list have made a strong case suggesting that you have operated the user account User:Wikitedium since 2006. If that is the case, your use of the two accounts constitutes a clear violation of Wikipedia's policy on sock puppetry. I invite your comments on this before pursuing any further action. -Pete (talk) 19:20, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have been corrected, and see that you did minimally disclose the connection on this user page -- but not on the User:Wikitedium user page, which you continued to use. -Pete (talk) 19:25, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for addressing that piece, and for sharing your comments on the list. -Pete (talk) 21:13, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Zack, as your user page is currently of interest, I have taken the bold step of cutting back the text that gave the impression that you are a current employee of the Wikimedia Foundation and included a link to the official statement on the Foundation website. Please feel free to revert, reformat or rewrite, I have only made this change to avoid anyone being accidentally misled. -- (talk) 10:47, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
