In response to your feedback

[edit]

Hi, YuuWaa. You edited your talk page to look like an article, but it is not an article. Please read the tutorial and read this page if you want to submit your article for review.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:YuuWaa, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Contested deletion

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --YuuWaa (talk) 15:45, 7 February 2012 (UTC) Not yet finished my referencing.[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only you. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of what username you choose - Wikipedia is not a business or product listing directory, and is not to be used for advertising or promotion of any kind. If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Request reason:

I understand that I was blocked because of my username which I didn't realise couldn't and shouldn't have been used. I was told by my boss to write and create a wiki article for our product so people can read about us and our history. I hadn't any idea of the rules and regulations.. I fully understand the reason behind it and I realise it should be my own username and not the companys. When 'YuuWaa Wikipedia' is typed into google everyone can see it has been blocked and I will be in so much trouble. But i didn't even know. Please Help YuuWaa (talk) 11:08, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

In order to be unblocked, you will need to agree to a few things. First, your username needs to change. We have a username change process you can follow, but we will need to know which account name you would like instead before we unblock you. Then you will be able to file the request once you are unblocked. You should make no other edits until the username change is complete. Add {{unblock-un|user=new username here}} to the bottom of this page once you've made your selection.

Second, you must understand that Wikipedia is not for promotion and that you are strongly discouraged from editing articles about your employer. I would suggest telling your boss that the task he gave you is not acceptable per Wikipedia policy. If your boss would then like to raise the matter with us directly we can discuss it with him. --Chris (talk) 15:25, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. --Chris (talk) 15:42, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree to a username change, and will speak to my boss about editing articles and show that in fact it is not something I can do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by YuuWaa (talkcontribs)

{{help me}} Hi, when I first started using wikipedia as an editor I hadn't read the rules and regulations properly and so when uploading photos they got deleted because I didn't use the right copyright rules etc. After I managed to upload a similar file but it is far too big to go into a small article, is there any way I can reupload the file as I need it for an article otherwise I don't know how else to do it. Could you help me? Thank you YuuWaa (talk) 09:13, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company, organization, or clients. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
