West Karbi Anglong district

[edit]

I updated the maintenance templates here, but this edit of yours have restored the older version. I've updated them again here. Please make changes without changing them. Thanks. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:08, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Fylindfotberserk Thank you for letting me know. I am not sure why that happened there but it is probably because I was still editing the page when your edit was made. Yuthoob (talk) 07:34, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yup, that seems to be the case. I get an edit-conflict notification in such cases. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:49, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of Information in Tinsukia district

[edit]

@Yuthoob: How is that History irrelevant? thank you Alaya12345 (talk) 16:49, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The content is not related enough, if at all to the history of the district. The text is more about the Yuan dynasty's conquest and would be a better fit in an article dedicated to that.
--Yuthoob (talk) 18:10, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Yuthoob: It wasnt a part of Yuan dynasty but a part of Mongmao , These are 21 tributary states of Mongmao under Sikefa in 1360 CE , and Tinsukia was park of it hence added. You seems undoing edits when there are no requirements Alaya12345 (talk) 21:05, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am not debating whether or not they were a part of the Mongmao kingdom at some point. The issue is that the text and map are not relevant because it is not about the history of the district. If you want to add that detail to the article you need to rewrite it to make it actually relevant to the article. Like adding details about when the event took place, how long it was under their kingdom, etc. along with a proper citation to a reliable source.
Why do you think that the text below, which I copy pasted from the removed material, is relevant to the history of the district?
According to the Brief History of Mengguo Zhanbi, in 1318, Si Kefa, the ruler of Mongmao appointed his brother Sanlongfa as the general and led an army of 90,000 to attack the king of Mengwei Sari (Upper Assam). In the end, he designed a plan to make Mengwei Sari surrender and pay tribute every 3 years and Samlongfa returned backed to Mongmao.
According to Hsweni state chronicle, the two generals Tao Sen Yen and Tao Sen Hai Khai sent with Samlongpha sent a story to Hso Khan Hpa (Si Kefa) at Mongyang that Samlongpha was conspiring with the king of Mong Wehsali Long to dethrone Hso Khan Hpa, Hso Khan Hpa believed the story and sent poison food to Samlongpha and he died at Mongkawng.

@Alaya12345: If you want an example then have a look at Birbhum district. It is a GA and hence is of high quality. Have a look at the history section of the article. You can find more examples to gather inspiration from by going to Wikipedia:WikiProject Indian districts. And please do remember to add a proper citation when you decide to rewrite and add the content back to the article(s).

Sockpuppets

[edit]

Please check this user Alya12345 I suspect he is a sockpupet returning from the former account wordain what they have in common is that they are both interested in the tribes of northeastern India and the northeastern states. The latest edit is in the state of Nagaland who again added the map File:Mong_Mao-the_detail_map.svg to the history article (कड़वी मुस्कान) (talk) 11:30, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
