Harald Walkate moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Harald Walkate, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Yoozed. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Harald Walkate, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Yoozed, I see that you have responded at Draft talk:Harald Walkate. Jay 💬 10:33, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I have. I'm sorry, but I don't really understand what you're trying to say? Yoozed (talk) 10:55, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I mean, shouldn't I have? Yoozed (talk) 11:03, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is for the benefit of HᴇʀᴘᴇᴛᴏGᴇɴᴇꜱɪꜱ or any other users who happen to see the COI notice on your page. On seeing that you did not respond to the notification here, the first impression anyone will get is that you are trying to avoid the subject of COI, which is what I thought at first too, until I saw your comment at the draft talk. I have removed the COI category from your talk page now. Jay 💬 12:30, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, thank you, my mistake in not answering here. I was, and still am learning the intricacies of Wikipedia structure and best practices. I hope it's okay like this, if not, I would greatly appreciate any guidance. Thanks again! Yoozed (talk) 12:34, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Teus Nobel

[edit]

Hi Yoozed, my apologies for not answering your message on my web page from last year... I've been away from Wikipedia for some time due to personal issues.

The basic problem is that All About Jazz is the only really good reference in the article. The Codarts and Fontys sources might show that Nobel studied there, but that doesn't make him notable because he has a university degree. Discogs fails WP:USERG and only shows that his records exist... again, that existence doesn't make them notable. And playing at the North Sea Jazz Festival won't make him notable if the festival isn't notable enough for Wikipedia. What's really needed is interviews or reviews in established magazines (Dutch magazines or Dutch-language sources are fine). Richard3120 (talk) 00:24, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
