Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Joshua Travagli. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! A tag has been placed on Joshua Travagli, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Re: Joshua Travagli

[edit]

In order to have an article on Wikipedia, a subject must meet certain inclusion criteria. For soccer players, there are two relevant guidelines. The general notability guideline says that a subject which has received significant coverage in reliable source is presumed to be notable. In the context of soccer, significant coverage does not include routine sports coverage such as match reports, player profiles, squad lists, transfer announcements etc. Since this is the only sort of coverage Travagli has received, he does not meet this guideline. The soccer-specific notability guideline says that any soccer player who has played a match in one of the fully professional leagues listed here or for his country's national team is presumed notable. Travagli has done neither, so he does not meet this guideline either. I hope that clarifies things. Sir Sputnik (talk) 19:29, 3 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Sir Sputnik

[edit]

i read all the guidelines and it says

  1. Failing to meet the criteria in this guideline means that notability will need to be established in other ways
  2. Please note that the failure to meet these criteria does not mean an article must be deleted;
  3. A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has been the subject of multiple published non-trivial secondary sources which are reliable, intellectually independent, and independent of the subject.
  4. Players who have played, and managers who have managed in a fully professional league, will generally be regarded as notable.

i have read the terms and conditions and also all the guidelines and i found that this article can be on Wikipedia as he is notable. He has played professional matches and he has many independent sources to prove his records and information.

Even Joshua Travagli and https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Derrick_Etienne are same notable Please check again and allow this article to be published on Wikipedia.

Even we have article for

  1. https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Stefano_Bonomo
  2. https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/PC_(footballer)

which are less notable than this guy

Can you please review my article again, for Joshua travagli ? i am sure he is notable and he should be on Wikipedia.

Information icon Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Joshua Travagli, to Wikipedia, as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeatedly recreating articles that do not meet the notability guidelines is disruptive. I've already explained to you that for a footballer to be notable they must either have received coverage beyond routine sports coverage, or have played a match in one of the leagues listed at WP:FPL or their country's national team. Unless you can demonstrate that one of these things is the case, this article does not belong on the 'pedia. Sir Sputnik (talk) 00:48, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ynaps, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
