2010 Crusaders season

Could you help a bit on there because im not very good with putting articles together my idea would have been to copy the match report from the super league website but i think im not allowed to. Youndbuckerz (talk) 03:05, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

Elliot & Elliott Hodgson

Huddersfield have it as just the one, as do the BBC. It is one of those names that can be spelt a few ways. Happy for a merge, as I have already taken the fleshed out stuff that I was going to do myself over the coming days from the other spelling. I have found one BBC article with the double t, but with the overriding majority have just the one, and the club itself stating his name with just the one t probably best to go with that. This deal is getting worse all the time. (talk) 16:31, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

Sky, rleague.com and superleague.co.uk have double "t", so I suppose only Hodg and his family officially know. So should a deletion tag be placed on my article (double "t"), or should it just be moved?
Ymron (talk) 17:48, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Taken all of the good work done with the double t and incorporated it into the single t. Either a deletion or a history merge is fine with me, unfortunately I don't know how to do the latter, nor how to go about getting it done. This deal is getting worse all the time. (talk) 18:50, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Well, here we have a problem, as I don't either. I have contacted LunarLander on the issue, he may know more of this.
Thanks,
Ymron (talk) 20:01, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

Rhys Hanbury

Added the former Wests full-back because he was confirmed as on his way after a deal signed, left out Gareth Thomas as he is only widely expected to join. Have left the updated navbox without the new full-back and obviously will not revert your changes.Lando09 (talk) 09:09, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Ashley Gibson

Although you could not have known, it is unfortunate that you started a new page for Ashley Gibson when there was an existing page which had been moved to the Article Incubator for development. We cannot just abandon the old one, because by the terms of the license we have to preserve the attribution to earlier contributors. So I have carried out a history merge, and the article as it now stands is your version as of yesterday, but with all the earlier versions in the history. The state of the article when it was moved to the incubator is this version as of 7 Nov 2009. You may want to look at that and see whether any information from it should be incorporated. I will also let Lando09 (talk · contribs) know, whose request at WP:REFUND#Ashley Gibson led me to do this. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 18:00, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up,
Ymron (talk) 18:29, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

I wont be editing for about 3 weeks

could you edit the 2010 crusaders 2010 season page for me and also keep up on the latest player movements in the nrl and super league and add them to the 2011 player transfers please, if you have the chance if not dont worry. Youndbuckerz (talk) 22:29, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Hello, you created this page a good hour ago. It would be great if you could add at least some kind of external reference to it, if only a link. Also, always when creating a sports biography stub article, please specify at least the nationality of the player in the lead section (and date of birth, if known), because not all readers necessarily know where e.g. Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks is from. Thanks for your contributions, they are valued, hydrox (talk) 11:50, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

FCBRL

Hi, Ymron.

Catalan people is working to improve rugby league in Catalonia, and one of the reasons that is helping to grow is that most of these players want to join the Catalonia national rugby league team.

Catalonia has several sports federations internationally recognised, and these catalan federations grow faster because there are people interested in sports where is possible to play representing Catalonia. Some people that used to play rugby union, now are increasing their interest in rugby league because they can play as catalans.

Catalan efforts are focused in Catalonia as Scottish efforts are mainly focused in Scotland.

There's many people working hard to increase rugby league in Catalonia and I think these efforts will raise the quality of catalan RL soon. And this would be good news for whole RL. --Puigsacalm (talk) 21:55, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

FC Barcelona has no RL website yet.
There's a NON-official FC Barcelona website for rugby union and rugby league www.fcbrugby.com
Probably next season there will be an official RL website. But I can't be sure for it.

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:43, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

AMNRL Teams

Some teams dont have their 2010 rosters up yet so i just add from players names that i find on American rugby news or US Power RugbyYB 08:42, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

1897 final team

Hi Ymron, I've just seen the team layout for the Challenge Cup Final in 1897 on the Saints article. At that time they played 15-a-side and didn't have substitutes. I'm not sure which two players it was who filled the flanker positions, you might need to find a match report to be sure rather than try to work it out from the numbers. LunarLander // talk // 23:38, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Saints logos

I'll upload those for you as soon as I get the chance to do some work to them. As for the new logo, as far as I'm aware this is just for marketing purposes and won't be the club's official logo. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong however.

Cheers Bill —Preceding unsigned comment added by Billybobalobadob (talkcontribs) 14:35, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Almost done with those logos you asked me to do. Sorry it's taken so long but been very busy. I will have to get them to you somehow.

Thanks a lot Bill,

Crusaders Stadia

I was trying to find a reference for Millenium, no wonder I didn't find one! Must have got confused with 2008. And yes you are quite right it is counted as an away game (in my stats I have counted it as an away game as well) so I have deleted that section. Thanks very much yeh I'm trying to get the article as good as possible. Poiuytre (talk) 12:27, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Archiving web references

Hi, there's some great referencing on the Saints article. I was wondering if you knew about webcitation.org, it's a good way of preventing the links in the article gradually becoming broken (through websites closing or moving pages). There was a bot on WP that used to do this for articles automatically but it has been having problems for ages. While it has been down, I've been doing it manually. If you are interested, you can quickly archive all the links present on the article by using http://webcitation.org/comb then add them to the article by using the archiveurl and archivedate fields of the ref template. LunarLander // talk // 14:18, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Squad templates

I think they certainly do have a place, but perhaps not on the main St Helens article. If specific articles exist for the relevant tournaments/cups etc, then the squads should belong there, with links directing from the St Helens page. If articles don't exist, feel free to create one. Failing that, just a simple list of names would probably suffice. If you feel that there are numerous more instances where such templates may be used in the article, then there is possibly scope to split the history of St Helens into separate articles for different eras. I don't really have a problem if you want to add the templates back to the main page, but just be aware of the size of the page. Cheers, Nouse4aname (talk) 10:55, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

P.S. Please be sure to warn vandals, too. Cheers, Dabomb87 (talk) 22:16, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

Crusaders

Unfortunately there is truth in the article. The previous administration from Bridgend left the club in lots of debt and it would seem that the new owners are unable to keep on top of it all. Crucially the club still has the backing of the RFL but the club might fall into administration or be lost completely. I'm gutted and annoyed at the same time. However the chairman did say that he was 99% confident that the Cru would continue, so fingers crossed. Poiuytre (talk) 18:35, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Crusaders RL

Yes I have heard of that rumour, amongst many rumours concerning the "Welsh franchise". I feel the complete episode has been farcical, and tbh I have done little work on the CRL article because of all the failings of the administration. It was only a month or two that I thought rugby league was genuinely safe in Wales. The Guardian are quite reliable, and their journalist is one of the few who mainly deals with rugby league so I would be surprised if at the time they wern't correct, however apparently things are changing on a day to day basis. The article will remain "Crusaders Rugby League" until there is official confirmation of a name change (that is if the club finds a buyer and is able to continue).
