Speedy deletion nomination of Gitanjali Selvaraghavan
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Gitanjali Selvaraghavan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Vrenator talk 12:45, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

Anushka in Kochadaiyaan
Can you please take a look at how other film articles in Wikipedia are formatted for an idea of how a film article should be like? Anushka has not yet been confirmed as a cast member in Kochadaiyaan. Also, you've added an image of Anushka from Arundati, which has nothing to do with Kochadaiyaan. Only place images of cast members if their photos were taken while on the sets of the film in question. Do not misinterpret WP:MOSFILM. If you need help understanding how certain things should be, please ask before doing. Thanks. EelamStyleZ (talk) 13:15, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
- I was intended to place the image in casting section which describes the casting and staffing decisions made, not in the actual cast. Arundati also shares the same genre historical drama, so user can interpret the film. Anyway Thanks for your valuable comments. --Jenith Michael Raj talk 13:32, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
Re:Rajinikanth
A Regional Television channel placing a Graffiti wall for birthday celebrations is not a big thing to be mentioned here. Adding Stuff like this will be like giving undue weight and henceforth is not encyclopedic. —Commander (Ping me) 12:11, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Rajinikanth edit
I used a tool to do the revert. The comment said Reverted to revision 464159657 by Yjenith: It was Arunkumarkat that was reverted, not you. That comment style has fooled me a few times too. BollyJeff || talk 14:13, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Learn to edit
You're continuously adding unencyclopedic information to Rajinikanth. Read WP:NOT to get an understanding of what kind of information can be put in Wikipedia articles. The grafitti wall is a highly unnotable event that is happening only for Rajinikanth's birthday this year. Celebrations of this type happens to Rajinikanth every year and happens to every actor. Wikipedia is not a place to document every single detail about someone, doing so would turn it into a tabloid affair. Learn how to write encyclopedia articles in an academic manner before contributing. EelamStyleZ (talk) 15:38, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
- Also, never refer to Rajinikanth as 'Rajini' in an article. That is his nickname. Always go by his true entire name Rajinikanth. EelamStyleZ (talk) 15:38, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
- You still haven't understood my point. You don't seem to understand what kind of information should be kept in an encyclopedia article. This is not a place to describe "special qualities" about someone. You may believe Rajinikanth is a humble and kind person, but that is not a fact, it is an opinion. The section you wrote on Rajinikanth cherishing friendship is something common to many people and isn't significant just to Rajinikanth. Again, I strongly urge you to read WP:N, WP:NPOV and WP:NOT. Any disruptive edits as such will be reverted because they go against consensus. EelamStyleZ (talk) 17:50, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Behindwoods news template
My first Wikipedia template created for all Wikipedians who contribute contents about Films to cite behindwoods news in their Wiki... http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Template:Behindwoods
{{Behindwoods}}
- Just so you know, I have been told by several editors that Behindwoods is not trustworthy, so I tend to avoid using them unless I have to. It has been hard to get articles to GA status with Behindwoods citations in there. BollyJeff || talk 19:28, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
- What is the purpose of this template anyway? If any website, including Behindwoods, needs to be used as a source then use {{cite web}} template surrounded by <ref> and </ref> just like all articles cite web sources. Do not create templates that end up going against consensus. EelamStyleZ (talk) 04:21, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
- Nevermind dude, I just saw your message on User talk:DVdm. You made that template in order to link Behindwoods articles under 'External links' sections? First read WP:EL to know what kinds of links are appropriate for 'External links' sections. I'm afraid you're really, really confused about Wikipedia. EelamStyleZ (talk) 04:29, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
Hey buddy, I read that policy already. I created that template just when the appropriate place is needed about to make the content writers job easy. the external links are when you have any external references you needed apart from the internal links/ref/cite. I am not telling that you should use. You may use when it is needed for you. You read about template policy. Not only External links wherever the link is required the template will help. Please dont think you are the only expert on understanding Wikipedia all others are crap. It is bad approach buddy for you. --Jenith Michael Raj (talk) 04:36, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
- Calm down with your words. I never said I was an expert in policies. I'm only letting you know before you end up doing things that go against the interest of other editors. Anyway, I really can't think of an appropriate situation to use such a template. Don't take offense to my warnings, it's just for your heads up. Cheers. Templates
Hi Yjenith, thanks for your note. I guess you "found" me by looking at the contributors to the Twitter article. Anyway, some advice...
- We probably don't want millions of templates for all sorts of external links. The idea behind external links is that they give some extra detail or experience that we cannot otherwise draw into the Wiki article. I suppose a Twitter link actually works in that respect. However, having too many templates is not necessarily a good thing - so I'd suggest not making too many of them :)
- I understand why you are sending out messages to people about the new templates. However, as is being explained on other talk pages, the etiquette here generally discourages doing such things. For example - I don't recall ever adding a Twitter link to an article :) even though I did work on the Twitter article once or twice, so your selection methods for these notifications aren't necessarily the best. You will find that quite a lot of people don't appreciate such messages (you may see them referred to as spam).
Anyway; hopefully this has been helpful :) --Errant (chat!) 09:55, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for your kind and helpful reply. --Jenith Michael Raj (talk) 10:10, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Your addition has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. —SpacemanSpiff 04:47, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- I am not sure what material it meant. It will be helpful for me if you mention the exact content since I am not able to find that--Jenith (talk) 05:22, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- You are continuously uploading images both here and on Commons that are not appropriately licensed/in violation of our copyright policy. I suggest you stop uploading images. You've already asked the question about images on Commons and have been provided appropriate answers, so please stop continuing to upload images that are not appropriately licensed. —SpacemanSpiff 05:26, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- Well. Actually I have looked upon some other creative commons licensed images uploaded, which are having same source from cinefundas(events), so I followed the same. If you provide me the reason tag before deleting or link to the deletions log to see the reason like earlier I got reason as Behindwoods support only parties and events are CC open licenced. It would help not to repeat the same thing--Jenith (talk) 05:33, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- Cinefundas is also only their images, not wallpapers etc. Also what about the One India image above, the two other images on Commons that you uploaded? Sorry, but you are not checking on what you are claiming to check. —SpacemanSpiff 05:47, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- I saw some images uploaded and got approved in OTRS from popcorn.oneindia.in (File:Aishwarya-dhanush.jpg) and cinefundas (File:Amala-paul13.jpg). The photogrpahs I uploaded today also seems that from parties/events of the respective site photographers.
- Thanks, but I feel when you delete if I get the reason clearly, like the image is in somewhere too which is copyrighted etc... appreciated--Jenith (talk) 06:03, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- Please do not trust other uploads. Check to see if the images are specifically released on a compatible license. Even your Bollywood Hungama upload was not proper -- Bollywood Hungama authorizes us only to use their "Parties" images whereas you uploaded from a newspiece on their site. THese differences are very very important, so if you have any questions ask before you upload (WP:MCQ is a good place to ask). —SpacemanSpiff 06:23, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Endhiran-wrap-up.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Endhiran-wrap-up.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:
- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. - It states only adding deliberate irrelevant obscenities constitute vandalism. Do you mean, mentioning Dhanush as Rajini's son-in-law is irrelevant. The edit was made by an anon IP (might be a newbie). S/he might not have the proper understanding about the infobox attribute. Your edit summary in this regard seems totally misleading and labelling such things as vandalism is totally unfair. Above all Dhanush is a highly notable person and I won't stop anyone if they add his name in the infobox under a proper attribute. —Commander (Ping me) 14:26, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

- Hey, not only wrong info(data), the wrong metadata may also disrupt the content, that's why I marked as vandalism. I think we should not worry or focus about the Tag much, should concentrate on article.--Terminator (talk) 16:01, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
- How do you say it disrupts the content when it makes no change. It looks like the IP did not make that edit deliberately to disupt the content. Infact he was trying to add something in the infobox which is highly relevant to the subject. That is no way a vandalism and assume good faith with such edits. I'm not blaming you, but make sure that you don't do such mistakes in the future. —Commander (Ping me) 16:40, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Iniya.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Iniya.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. X.One SOS 12:58, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

Image problem
I think the problem is that you are not understanding what the notice is trying to say. Putting it in simple words, we can say that "Copyrighted content can be used in Wikipedia only if the uploader is sure that there is no alternative image available which is not copyrighted." If you say "if copyrighted image is found", it is a fact, but it raises a dispute about whether the free image can be found or not. If there is even a slight chance that one is available for replacing this, then the copyrighted image cannot be uploaded. I did not nominate the Shankar shooting spot image for deletion, because it is taken while shooting, and a free image for that would be available only from a person who is not associated with the film. Then, that image would be illegally taken. Do you have any guarantee that nobody in the world would take a photo of Iniya or Vjayantimala and upload it as their own work in future? That is the point. Hope you get it. Thanks. X.One SOS 15:15, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
- I would like to add a few. You are uploading a number of copyrighted images using the non-free use rationale. Stop doing that for people like Rajinikanth, where a bunch of free images for the subject are easily available and are already there in the commons. —Commander (Ping me) 06:03, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
