You are hardly in a position to tell other editors to 'learn how to use the system'. Please be kind to new editors, you are one yourself. Your remark at User talk:2yyiam was not appropriate. Also, don't forget to sign your contributions to talk: space - I suggest that you use the the little pencil icon on the upper bar (beginning B I ) or longhand using --~~~~ . --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 23:03, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your reply. However, (a) You are not my pal. (b) yes, it is appropriate to advise an editor who has added unsourced material that he should provide sources, but it is equally appropriate to be polite and helpful when doing so. Saying "you need to learn to use the system" is entirely unhelpful, you should point to the policy. (c) please read WP:SIGN. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 22:09, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I still think you are missing the point, so probably I didn't explain it properly. So here is the article that explains it: Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers.
At this stage, you could accuse me of doing the same thing, so let's end it there. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 15:28, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
