You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

The full report is at the edit warring noticeboard. You were previously blocked in November. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 20:36, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi YenWitch! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Please discuss the status of this article with me at Talk:Mahlagha Jaberi. - Brian Kendig (talk) 00:49, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In the Azad University of northern Tehran, Actually whole text about her after living Iran is also published in a copyrighted way NOT free. The article, from first version in copyrighted. Maybe I create it with a better free text. YenWitch (talk) 00:51, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The text of the article appears to have been written in encyclopedic style, and has citations to various sources. Are you saying that the entirety of the article as it existed before you removed it was copied from a copyrighted source? What is that source, specifically? ~ Brian Kendig (talk) 00:54, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Im Iranian, we write and publish many articles in Persian and Arabic and in this kind of case, English everyday. I just copied that and searched google for some sources. I thought our country is kind of Creative Commons supporter but find out just government websites like "farsnews" sometimes doing that. So, yeah the whole text is copied. YenWitch (talk) 00:58, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, I appreciate your effort to make sure Wikipedia does not violate a copyright here, If you were able to recreate the article in your own words, citing the source instead of copying it directly, that could be the best outcome. - Brian Kendig (talk) 00:57, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Im sorry for doing this. I care about copyright but my knowledge isn't that good. I will try to write Articles on my own. Its harder but true. YenWitch (talk) 01:00, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, then. As you created the article and are in the best position to know that you copied it from another source, I believe that speedy deletion is for the best. Before I delete it, though, would you please let me know exactly what that source was? Was it a translated Iranian government newspaper or web site, or something else? I'd like to cite the specific source in the deletion. - Brian Kendig (talk) 01:10, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Its a "student journal" (مقاله دانشجویی in Persian) first I didn't know about the rights. I will make sure never do that mistake again. Thanks for keeping Wikipedia safe. YenWitch (talk) 01:14, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Brian Kendig Pinged YenWitch (talk) 00:53, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Brian Kendig again I forgot. YenWitch (talk) 01:02, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Brian Kendig Sorry forgot again to ping. YenWitch (talk) 01:15, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have speedy-deleted the article and its Talk page, because I believe your assertion that you copied the text from a copyrighted source made it not suitable for Wikipedia. Thank you for discussing this with me. You are welcome to recreate the article in your own words; please remember to cite verifiable sources, and also please establish the notability of the subject. If I can help you with anything, please let me know! - Brian Kendig (talk) 01:30, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Im learning from you even right now, I will try my best. Thanks again! YenWitch (talk) 01:31, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
