Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Paradox (Isyana Sarasvati album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Raisa (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Rayhan Maditra Indrayanto moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Rayhan Maditra Indrayanto, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Improving Isyana Sarasvati page

[edit]

Hello, I'm SiberianCat. On 20 May 2021, I made numerous edits to the page you created on Isyana Sarasvati. The original version had problems in terms of grammar, syntax, structure, references and encyclopedic style. I notice that you have repeatedly undone my edits, thereby restoring the bad grammar, bad syntax and poor encyclopedic style. Please stop your disruptive editing. You claimed in your edit explanations that you merely wanted to follow Indonesian Wikipedia's version of the page and to mention the "Mnet Mama and Forbes Asia awards". First, there is no reason for a Wikipedia page to be a mirror of a page in another language, especially if that page is not well written. Second, Forbes Asia's 30 Under 30 is not an award, it's a listing. Third, the subject's listing by Forbes Asia and her awards are still mentioned on the improved version of the page. On 13 April 2020, you added the Good Article icon to the page and subsequently denied you had done so. If other editors attempt to improve the quality of the page so that it might one day be deemed worthy of gaining Good Article status, it is counterproductive and disruptive for you to undo their edits. Wikipedia is collaborative endeavor in which editors (ideally, motivated only by a desire to improve pages) edit the writing of others. If you cannot accept editing of your page, perhaps you would be better off making or contributing to a fan-page blog on the subject. Thanks if you can accept the edits and refrain from engaging in edit-warring. SiberianCat (talk) 09:38, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dear SiberianCat, First: I added the Mnet Asian Music Awards because the fact is that only some Indonesian artists have received that award. 2: Isyana is a composer and she wrote all the songs by herself, but you only mentioned the Explore album, while she has released 3 albums in which all of Isyana Sarasvati's own creations. How do I want to receive edited from you? Whereas I have added references to the information. Wiser please
Hi Yemimas29. Please remember to sign posts on Talk pages with four tildes (4 of these ~). Here's what the original sentence looked like: "She composed all of her own songs[4] and once was an opera singer in Singapore." This suggests that she composed every song she has released or sung. I notice she has sung several songs that were composed by artists such as Queen and performed music by composers such as Mozart. She has also released a single of A Whole New World. The source referenced in that mentioned only her debut album. I therefore corrected the sentence. If she has also composed all songs on her two subsequent albums, then you need to edit the sentence to read something like: She composed all of the songs on her 2015 debut pop album, Explore! and on her two subsequent albums. And you will need to add a reference.
Wikipedia articles should not be repeating the same information (a highly notable fact in the lead, repeated in body content and a table is OK though). Leads should be short (depending on the notability of the subject).
Your article had included the following (I've put it all together here): Awards 30 Under 30 Forbes Asia, 2020, 30 Under 30 Forbes Indonesia, 2019 (in Infobox); "2016 Best Asian Artist Indonesia, 2017 Best Composer of the Year" by MAMA Awards (Mnet Asian Music Awards) and honored "30 Under 30 Asia 2020" by Forbes; After her name was included in 2019 Forbes Indonesia annual list of 30 under 30 (Indonesia's 30 inspiring young achievers) in art, style & entertainment category, In April 2020, Forbes included Isyana in their 30 Under 30 Forbes Asia 2020 in the Entertainment & Sports category and was also included in the category Celebrities (Special category); In February 2019, Isyana's name was included in Forbes Indonesia's annual list of 30 under 30 (Indonesia's 30 inspiring young achievers) in art, style & entertainment category; Isyana subsequently received her International award at the MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) for Best Asian Artist Indonesia 2016, Best Composer Of The Year 2017; In April 2020, Forbes included Isyana in their Forbes Asia 2020 list which comprises 30 influential people under 30 years old who have made substantial effect in their fields. She was included in the Entertainment & Sports Category and also in the Celebrities category (special categories); Isyana was considered influential because of the various achievements & produced work and attracted the attention so that it was selected from the 3,500 nominees across Asia Pacific, with the judging of Forbes's journalists in the region and veterans in their respective categories; (and in the Awards Table) 2019 Forbes Indonesia Forbes Indonesia 30 under 30; 2020 Forbes Asia Forbes Asia 30 under 30; Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) Best Asian Artist Indonesia; Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) Best Composer of the Year.
Generally, a significant award can be mentioned once in the main text and once in an award table. It doesn't need to be mentioned more than that. The awards are still listed on the page after my edits. If someone takes the time and effort to improve your page, it is impolite to undo their edits and then tell them "wiser please", especially when you have been caught lying about adding "Good Article" status to the page. In future, when I have sufficient time and inclination, I am going to perform a more thorough clean-up and rewrite of the page. Thank you. SiberianCat (talk) 03:58, 29 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
SiberianCat, Maybe you can change the word "She composed all of the songs on her 2015 debut pop album, Explore!." with another word, because Isyana Sarasvati wrote or compose all of her songs in the 3 albums she released. Here are some references that can help you: 1. https://www.merdeka.com/jateng/jago-bikin-lagu-isyana-sarasvati-bongkar-rahasia-inspirasi-karyanya.html (read: Good at composing songs, Isyana Sarasvati reveals the secrets of her work) 2. https://www.cnnindonesia.com/hiburan/20210428090831-240-635732/jalan-isyana-mencapai-titik-kulminasi-seorang-musisi/2 (read: a Journey of Isyana Reaches The Culmination Point Of A Musician) 3. https://www.loket.com/blog/lagu-isyana-sarasvati (read: Isyana Sarasvati's Hits Songs from Newest to Oldest!) 4. https://hardrockfm.com/cerita-isyana-sarasvati-tentang-album-barunya-paradox/ (read: Paradox, Isyana Sarasvati's second Album) 5. https://www.pikiran-rakyat.com/entertainment/pr-01323733/lexicon-album-ketiga-isyana-sarasvati (read: Lexicon, Isyana Sarasvati's Third Album). Isyana sang the song A Whole New World only as Indonesia's representative for the promotion of the Aladin film.
Previously I added a "good article" category because at that time I was still new in managing an article. So I just follow the instructions of international or Hollywood artist articles like Beyonce. So, apologize if I have edited and added a "good article" not based on wikipedia guidelines.
Hi Yemimas29, thanks for your reply. If you enter editing mode on a Talk Page and look at the bottom of the editing area, you'll see there's an instruction to "Sign your posts on talk pages:" and a button with four tildes: ~~~~. You need to click that button at the end of a comment on Talk Pages (even User Talk Pages), just so that it's clear who posted and when they posted. Please feel free to update and reference the sentence about Isyana composing all of her own songs on her first three studio albums (I'm too busy for editing at the moment). Thanks. SiberianCat (talk) 05:05, 29 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok SiberianCat. But are you agree? if I added with sentence like "Isyana composing all of her own songs on her albums." How do you think? Because, so far she's always create songs by herself. Not from another people (another composer). And will always like that. Yemimas29 (talk) 07:51, 29 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, you could try using this sentence: Known for her original compositions, she wrote all of the songs on her 2015 debut pop album, Explore! and on her two subsequent albums, Paradox (2017) and Lexicon (2019). (and then add the requisite references). We can't assume she will never do cover songs - as she has covered the song from Aladdin (released as a single) and has performed songs by other artists. Thanks and happy writing/editing (and I hope you won't be offended if I later visit the page and do minor corrections to grammar). SiberianCat (talk) 11:34, 29 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
