Welcome!

Hello, Yaya J, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Ash Timer, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted (if it hasn't already).

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Speedy deletion of Ash Timer

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Ash Timer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion of Ainand

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Ainand requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. New books

[edit]

The way it works is this: a) decide whether the book is called Ainand or Aniand, b) write the book, get it published and promote it in places that accept advertising, c) wait for critical acclaim, d) keep waiting but soon someone with no COI will write about the book here. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 19:01, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Advertising - Conflict of Interest

[edit]

Your article Ainand has been deleted. It seems that you are trying to use Wikipedia to promote your unpublished books. There are several things wrong with that - please read the guidelines on Conflict of Interest and Advertising. Also, articles in Wikipedia have to be about something notable - see Notability and, for books, Notability (books). In particular books not yet published are very unlikely to be notable enough for an article. JohnCD (talk) 19:05, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Aniand (book)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Aniand (book), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

unremarkable book

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you use Wikipedia for advertising, as you did with Aniand (book), you will be blocked from editing. Toddst1 (talk) 19:52, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Aniand (book)

[edit]

I have nominated Aniand (book), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aniand (book). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Toddst1 (talk) 20:00, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Aniand (book). Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Wuhwuzdat (talk) 00:36, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Aniand (book). When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Hello Yaya J. I see you've been editing the article Aniand (book), and I'm wondering if there is a conflict of interest here. Please have a look at WP:COI, I'd hate to see you do so much work, only to have it all undone again. — Ched ~ (yes?) 00:40, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been temporarily blocked from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for repeatedly removing AFD templated, maint. templates. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
