Sarah Parcak
[edit]Hi - I saw you added some categories to Sarah Parcak, which I removed. I wanted to explain why, in case you had any questions.
- Category:Women archaeologists - this is already covered by Category:American women archaeologists
- Category:Women Egyptologists - this was previously deleted in 204; it may be useful (in fact I suspect it is), but there's a process by which it should be recreated. I will take a look at it further when I have the time and see about recreation.
- Category:Space Archaeology - this category doesn't exist, and I'm not sure where in the category tree it might fall, but it could be useful - again, I'll take a look when I have a moment.
I do apologize for doing a drive-by like this; ordinarily I'd try to be a bit more detailed, but I'm severely pressed for time today. I did just want to let you know my rationale.
Please let me know if you've got any questions - categorization can be a fuzzy science, at best, and I know long-time editors (myself included) for whom it causes multiple conniption fits. I'd be happy to explain a bit further when I have the time.
