Apo Ta Glyka Sou Matia
Apo Ta Glyka Sou Matia, is an original Greek song from Asia Minor. The previous user does not known very well the history of each song and makes a lot of mistakes to their origin. We talk about indogenus Greek language songs! --Napoleo856 (talk) 02:53, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
- hey, since I'm not aware of the song, i request you to talk about this in the article talk page. I'm sorry for marking you as a vandal. Please go ahead with your changes, however, add proper references and edit summaries for each change you make. You can undo my change by going to history and then add a proper reason in the edit summary. If you add references and proper summaries, your edits might not be considered vandalism. Again, sorry for my mistake. Hope you don't take it personally. Thank you! Yashovardhan (talk) 02:58, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks. --Napoleo856 (talk) 03:09, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
Laura Marling discography
Why did you revert me here? Ss112 14:56, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Ss112: I'm sorry. As I didn't see any edit summary, i though it was vandalism. Later I visited your talk page and saw that you don't write edit summaries sometimes. I see that you've reverted the edit. Thanks. Hope you don't take it personally. Thanks!
- I didn't take it personally, but all three of my edits to that page had edit summaries: [1], [2] and [3]. Ss112 15:14, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Ss112: yeah, i saw. I'm sorry again, i didn't realize it. When I saw "added peaks", i thought it was a joke summary. I didn't realize. I was going to revert my edit myself but then had some internet issue. I don't know why but this edit also popped up in the recent changes list after hiding possible good edits, so that was one more reason. Thanks for not taking offense

Article called "Session Musician"
Hi there,
This is my first time doing this so I do hope I'm doing it correctly. I added an external link to an article regarding session musicians this morning because session singers are also session musicians and I felt it was important to recognize them in the article and helpful to readers.
I saw that you had removed my external link and then I saw that an editor called "mean as custard" had then deleted all 3 external links. I can't speak for the other two links as they are in no way related to me, but I do feel as a session musician who's been working in the industry for over 20 years, that the session singer external link should be restored.
Thanks, Lucy — Preceding unsigned comment added by Musicindustryeducation (talk • contribs) 12:08, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Musicindustryeducation: firstly, thanks for getting in touch. I had basically reverted your addition because you had not provided any edit summary as to why the link is important in the context. I see that you later added some more links with a really good summary! Later, i see what looked like an edit war you got into. Since you're new here, you should avoid getting into edit wars! Also don't revert the same edit more than thrice (you can get blocked!). Now, coming to the point, i request you go through this - Wikipedia: External links
After going through this, if you still think you should add those links, go to the talk page of the article and suggest that these links should be added. Mention in detail why these are important and that your previous edit was reverted. Add the help me tag there so that someone notices it quickly. Next, wait for sometime. If no one responds, go and add the links with a summary asking anybody who wishes to revert it to go to the talk page and discuss the matter there! Alternatively, if there's a mention of any of the musicians you're referring to in the article, you can add an inline citation to the musician! Note that if you're adding your own links, some one will warm you for a conflict of interest! Lastly, leave it to the consensus of the community! Do go through the talk page and see if this issue was discussed earlier. If not, start a new discussion and let the suggestions flow! You may also want to have a talk with "mean as custard" who had reverted your edits. When you highlight the issue in the article talk page, call his attention by using the reply to tags! Thanks again for contacting me. Do let me know how it goes! Yashovardhan (talk) 13:44, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Yashovardhan, thanks so much for getting in touch, you're my first friendly voice - I find this all a bit overwhelming to be honest. I totally understand why you'd removed it at first until I'd left a good summary and thanks so much for saying that I'd then added a really good summary. I only added in one external link - the one about session singers who are also session musicians - the other 2 links are actually nothing to do with me. When "Mean As Custard" then later on deleted the entire "External Links Section" - he removed my one link which is the only one I'd added and very much hope it can be restored. I have read the external links article you sent to me and know session singers are session musicians that are very important to recognize in our industry and should be identified especially in articles like this. As you're now happy with my one link, would you be able to restore it back again ? It would help me so much if you could possibly help ? Thanks so much again, Lucy (musicindustryeducation) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Musicindustryeducation (talk • contribs) 14:45, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Musicindustryeducation: did you talk to "mean as custard"?. I'm not an admin here, I'm just another editor with standard rights like you! Why don't you talk about this on the article talk page? I'm sure many will help. Moreover, try fixing the article as it has many issues! You can try reverting your own edit by going to the article history. I'm not the best person here for this. You can also go to the treehouse and ask for help! Best of luck! I suggest talking about this on the article talk page and maybe even taking to mean as custard ! Do let me know how it goes!Yashovardhan (talk) 15:02, 18 March 2017 (UTC)

- Hi Yashovardhan, thanks very much for getting back to me...I will try to talk about this on the article page where I can see your paragraph and also the message from "mean as custard". Just a quick question before I do that, I'm guessing that after I've gone to the article and clicked on "Talk", I then click on "Edit Source" in order to put my case, just as I'm doing here - but you also mentioned tagging it with a "Help Me" tag. I just went to have a look and couldn't see where or how to do this - there is a link below with help which takes you to a general help page but I'm guessing this is not what you meant. Could you tell me how to do the "help me" tag as you described once I've finished putting my case on the article talk page ? Also, do you happen to know if "mean as custard" is an admin or an editor like you ? Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you, Thanks Lucy (musicindustryeducation) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Musicindustryeducation (talk • contribs) 15:19, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Musicindustryeducation: Check your talk page for a welcome message containing links teaching you how to write on talk pages and other questions you had! You can check the permissions he has here - https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Special:UserRights/Mean_as_custard Yashovardhan (talk) 15:45, 18 March 2017 (UTC)

- @MonikaKubasakova: ok. Go ahead and add the maintenance template back! I didn't see an edit summary giving reason for deleting the template that's why I'd to revert your edits. Please undo my edit and add a proper summary
- @Yashovardhan: Thanks. We have another citations for verification from 11 March 2017, i can delete the last template?--MonikaKubasakova (talk) 17:05, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
- @MonikaKubasakova: of course! You're free to do any constructive edit on Wikipedia! Just use proper edit summaries. P.s. I'm not an admin, so you don't need my permission for anything!
Change to Newfoundland pine marten
My change to the article was updating an outdated scientific name for the southern red-backed vole from Clethrionomys gapperi to Myodes gapperi. Perhaps it was a mistake to not add a description to my edit. 35.20.212.75 (talk) 15:30, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- @35.20.212.75: Hey thanks for getting in touch. I reverted your edits for 2 reasons - firstly, it didn't have a citation and secondly, there was no edit summary explaining the change. This is why I asked you to provide a citation! You must go ahead and make the change again, try and give a citation like a news piece dealing with the updation in the scientific name or a reliable source where both the names are mentioned! And yeah, leaving an edit summary is a must! Though not required, I highly recommend doing so as it helps editors (like me :) get an overview of why the edit was made. Thanks a lot for letting me know about this mistake of mine, though! Feel free to get in touch again if you need help Yashovardhan (talk) 15:47, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

CorbieVreccan is Edit-Warring
@Yashovardhan: CorbieVreccan has been abusively reverting edits and I need to know what to do about it. He purports to have deep feelings about the insincerity of my edits and is using these feelings as a pretence to reverse any edit I make. The only contribution he's made to discussing the matter is to vaguely assert that I haven't followed some guideline he cannot mention by name, to attack me personally, to declare some conspiracy theory he's personally committed to, to absurdly declare that I'm required to disprove unsourced claims, and to be generally condescending. In a word: obstructionist. Is there a standard way of proceeding from here? JamesStanley (talk) 23:26, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
- @JamesStanley: Ok James, I had a look for you at the article history. I saw you made a change twice and was reverted both the times. I recommend as already suggested by Corbie, to leave a note on the article talk page and discuss the matter. Its a requirement that if there is a disagreement over a change in an article, its best to discuss it over the talk page. I clearly understand that you want to make this change but Corbie also has a point against it. If no consensus is reached over at the article talk page, then you should go for WP:Dispute resolution! Please always assume good faith! Also, don't revert the same edit more than thrice or it could get you blocked for violation of the WP:Three revert rule. Don't worry too much about this, if you are right, you will be allowed to make the change! :) Yashovardhan (talk) 05:36, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Yashovardhan:Thanks for the advice. I had already left notes on the article page (Corbie wasn't interested in participation, but other editors have taken up the cause). I think things are mostly on track now, I just wanted to thank you. Enjoy JamesStanley (talk) 21:16, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
- @JamesStanley: you're welcome! Happy that things are on the right track. Now you will know what the consensus wants! And thanks for the note here! Yashovardhan (talk) 03:11, 25 March 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion and schools
I saw your message on the Templeton University talk page. I've now deleted that, but you'd reflected a rather common misconception there, so I hoped to clear it up. When it comes to speedy deletion, only criterion A7 (lack of asserted notability) excludes schools. If the article is speedy eligible for any other reason like G11 (advertising), G12 (copyvio), G10 (attack page/hit piece), etc., those absolutely still can be applied to articles about educational institutions. Let me know if you have any questions. Seraphimblade Talk to me 05:12, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Seraphimblade: thanks a lot! I was rather confused with this after an A7 for a school was denied. Now its much clearer. Thanks Seraphimblade! Yashovardhan (talk) 05:22, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
Hi, @Yashovardhan I edited a cricket article earlier and created a new one. It was speedily deleted. Can you help as I am new, but have lots to contribute. Thanks Yarns110 (talk) 20:23, 25 March 2017 (UTC) Yarns110 The page was AF Matthews
- @Yarns110: i had nominated it for speedy deletion because it didn't meet the Notability policy. You should draft a page in your user space to avoid risk of deletion. If you want the contents of the page back, you should contact the deleting admin who can help transfer it to your userspace. Once there, you can work on it until it's fully ready with proper references and citations and then move/request it be moved to the article space. Don't try creating the article again or you may be blocked. Read the getting started and new article guide I left at your talk page. Yashovardhan (talk) 03:10, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for this. I have a few I want to create and I reckon this advice will be valuable. Thanks Yarns110 (talk) 10:45, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Yarns110: you're welcome. Try drafting in your userspace and then you can ask at WP: Articles for creation for help! Yashovardhan (talk) 10:51, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
page splitting
Hi i dont really understand-I started a new page on my relative Yusuf Ali Khan. Why is that page splitting. I am not sure, please help — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fauzia Khan MD (talk • contribs) 18:42, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Fauzia Khan MD: don't worry about it. I had used the wrong tag earlier. Now that you mention you're a relative of his, you must realize that you've done a wrong thing by creating the article. You should state the same at the article talk page immediately! This is called conflict of interest, please refer to the article and your user talk page for relevant notices I issued! Thank you! - @SaiSriMourya: If you have uploaded it to the commons, just get a permanent link and add it to the article as a normal external link! Yashovardhan (talk) 17:08, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
Run Lola Run
Hi Yashovardhan, you reverted my changes to this article. I think my changes actually made the article better, as it 1) corrected the last left over spelling mistake: Meyer, should be: Meier 2) corrected a widespread long standing mistake that the white BMW with the three men should be driven by Manni's criminal employer, Ronnie.
I hope the information below will help you to come to the same conclusion. Thank you. Yours
Univerity of Minnesota's plot summary: [1] Here the men in the BMW are referred to as tough guys and angry dudes. Not Ronnie. The head-on collision is also mentioned.
IMDB's full cast page for the film: [2] Stunt section: Ralf Haeger - bmw guy Frank Jablonski - bmw guy Emanuel Raasch - bmw guy The stunt actors all play the roles as "BMW guys" whereas Heino Ferch plays the role of Ronnie. 87.50.49.89 (talk) 19:55, 28 March 2017 (UTC)

Doubts over the article International Cricket Records
Abishe (talk) 02:09, 21 March 2017 (UTC)I am respecting your advices. But this article is not a duplicate copy of List of One Day International cricket records and this is all about the mixed stats of all three formats of international cricket. So you want this article which should not rely only on a particular source like cricinfo.I also need your assistance for this work.cricinfoAbishe (talk) 02:09, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Abishe: ya, i agree that the article is not a duplicate copy of List of One Day International cricket records. In fact, that article has more different references than this one making it better! Let's talk about this on the article talk page!Yashovardhan (talk) 04:41, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Abishe: the article is being discussed for deletion. You might be interested Yashovardhan (talk) 03:03, 26 March 2017 (UTC)

Abishe (talk) 06:52, 31 March 2017 (UTC)I got the message that it will be deleted on the 1st of April.Yes I read all about it.So I am definitely not going to reject the views of every wikipedians.I am the author myself and I am requesting for this article to be deleted. Can you please send this message.I will never ever try to create this article any more.Thanks.Abishe (talk) 06:52, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Abishe: hey, don't get so worried! You don't need to request speedy because it's going to get deleted tomorrow anyway (under current afd) and sometimes even speedy takes 2-3 days. But if you're willing, you can do it under WP:G7. Go through that page to see how you can place that tag. I'd suggest against using it though because an afd is underway. Also, i suggest you go through the welcome message I'd dropped on your page and read through the starter guide etc. (all linked in welcome message). It'll really help you get going and you can create even better articles next time! Also, draft an article in your user space first and then request for AfC as then you'll know beforehand whether your article is suitable or not. Consider joining WP:India as well! Good luck!
