A tag has been placed on Greg Olsen (Football), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}

- Hi there. It looks as though the article was already speedily deleted, for the reason that I nominated it: "it [did] not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia." Wikipedia has criteria for people that makes them notable. You may ask the administator who deleted it, Kungfuadam, to restore it so that you can properly document your verifiable sources which must substantiate the notability by Wikipedia standards. If he agrees and you do not provide the necessary sources, or the sources you supply do not sufficiently support the subject's notability based on Wikipedia's guidelines, the article may be deleted again. All the best, and happy editing! - CobaltBlueTony 19:14, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Victor Abiamiri
A tag has been placed on Victor Abiamiri, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

RE: Victor Abiamiri
- If you read the deletion tag, you will see you can postpone the article's speedy deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the article, without removing the tag itself. Add it below, then add whatever you want to add, and if it's enough to make the article relevant, it will remain.
- That's the point in the word 'speedy' deletion. If you don't want the tag on that quickly you should create a user sub page where you can write the article on there and then C+P it all into the article proper. ≈ The Haunted Angel (The Forest Whispers My Name) 23:44, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
- Note - it shouldn't be copied and pasted into mainspace, it should be moved into mainspace (see button above the page (same line as article, talk etc) RyanPostlethwaiteSee the mess I've created or let's have banter 23:49, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Jamaal Anderson and Greg Olsen
Bucs10 said: Can you please stop protecting the article on Jamaal Anderson and Greg Olsen (Football).
The articles on Anderson and Olsen have been deleted repeatedly, and I have permanently protected these on the advice of others. Before I unprotect these pages, please give me some external source to prove that articles are writable beyond those which have been already deleted.
Just to be on the safe side, y'know. Bobo. 02:21, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Bucs10 said: I dont understand what you trying to say, about getting another external source
What I meant was to just quote another source on the Internet somewhere in the External links, which agrees with what you have written in the article. That said, I would wait at least until April at least, when the draft takes place, as he moves from being "just another prospect among hundreds" to actually making a dent in the league. Bobo. 03:07, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Bucs10 said: Is this good enough it says:Olsen is widely regarded as one of the top tight end prospects in the draft. Heres the link.
Cool. That looks pretty sturdy, but I think we'd rather wait until the draft actually takes place before the article is brought to Wikipedia again. Thank you for supplying the link and I'll make good use of it once the time is right to do so - That is, when the draft has taken place.
I'll contact User:Ryanpostlethwaite and see what he thinks about this, since he has reviewed the article in the past. Bobo. 03:23, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Bucs10 said: I just have one more question will it be the exact article that i created, or will i have to create it again.
Since the entire history of the article will be available if it is unprotected and restored, so long as the article is restored, the original revision of the article will be visible and restorable anyway in the history. There is nothing stopping you from deciding to include the first version, the second version, or the third version as you feel is appropriate. Bobo. 03:32, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
In my opinion the articles should stand. At first I tagged one for deletion (think it was Greg Olsen) but when I did a bit of research into them, they did seam notable enough to meet WP:BIO, there seams to be quite a few reliable sources out there for them and maybe these should be sourced better into the articles. I do agree, it might be better to make a draft in userspace, then move it over to mainspace wants to shows it meets WP:BIO RyanPostlethwaiteSee the mess I've created or let's have banter 08:49, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Editing Recent Players Info
Bucs10 said: On Your edits of nfl players who have been released you are putting that they played for a team until 2007 but really they didnt play for the team in 2007. For example with the Eric Moulds you put he played for the Texans from 2006-2007 but he only played one season for the Texans and that was 2006.
No problem, I will do that from now on. I thought it was until 2007 because they were released in 2007.

Dolphins player pages
Please leave the font color in the charts white on the Dolphins' player pages. Many people find the orange on aqua difficult to read. They don't go well together.Chris Nelson 03:01, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
I never found it distracting. But I've seen quite a few people change it on pages citing that as the reason, and while my eyesight is fine I see what they mean. The contrast of the aqua and orange is kind of blurry, to anyone. Not so much that you can't read it, just a little annoying for some. So I think it should be changed.Chris Nelson 23:10, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Players
The only reason I do is because the light red on pewter is very difficult to read. And since orange is technically a Buc color, I thought that maybe it would fly better. I tested it, and it MUCH easier to read. Sorry if it caused any controversy. Crazy Canadian 11:23, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
So is the Bills colors. I find it annoying that you revert my edits to make the names easier to read AND in keeping with team colors. Crazy Canadian 02:11, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Oh, sorry, but I saw the Peerless Price page had the different colors. Anyway, please don't change them, I'm not changing all of them, but I am changing ones that are difficult to read. Crazy Canadian 12:24, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

You misspelled his name. He already had a page.Chris Nelson 22:43, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
Hello! Your recent move of this article to Kenny Rogers (country singer) and creation of a disambiguation page were improper. When two subjects share the same name, we add parenthetical disambiguation to the title of one article (ideally the one less likely to be searched for) and link to it from the other. We do not create a disambiguation page, as this merely ensures that no one visiting that title will immediately find the article that he/she seeks. By placing one of the two subjects at the main title, some of the page's visitors will find the intended article. Those seeking the other article, meanwhile, need only follow a single link (just as they would if they reached a disambiguation page instead).
In this case, the singer is more famous than the baseball player, so his article is located at Kenny Rogers. If another notable Kenny Rogers emerges, we might consider having a disambiguation page there, but it's more likely that such a page would exist at Kenny Rogers (disambiguation) (where your unused disambiguation page currently resides). With your consent, I'll delete that mistakenly created page. —David Levy 03:22, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Concerning stubs and user:chrisjnelson
Hi there,
First, I would like to thank you for creating so many football stubs for recently drafted players today. One suggestion: when you create a short article, include a stub for easier sorting of the articles that need work? For example, if the article is concerning a linebacker, use Linebacker-stub etc. Also, concerning the discussion above this on your talk page, I warned user:chrisjnelson that he needs to be more civil and assume good faith in all edits. The same can be said for you. If someone is being obnoxious and uncivil like that, report him to an administrator but dont keep going with it. Thanks--Thomas.macmillan 01:49, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Jonathan Goff
The article Jonathan Goff has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Hello, Yankees10. It appears that you copied and pasted Calvin Johnson (football player) to Calvin Johnson. Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Infobox
Hey Yankees10. Thanks for the message, I had not realised that birthdate is a variable in the template (I am now adding this to all new templates that I add). I have also noticed that colours have been something of an issue, unfortunately I am one of the few individuals who have achromatopsia and am therefore unable to do anything in this area. My feeling is that having the infobox is more important than stylistic issues like the use of colours, obviously this is further complicated anyway by the fact that many players spend roughly equal ammounts of time with numerous ballclubs. Cormier
Lance Cormier and Rheal Cormier are two different people. Don't make edits about people you don't know anything about.Chris Nelson 21:12, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Sure you do, buddy. If you did, you'd know Lance Cormier retiring at this time would make zero sense, and if you thought you read it you'd verify it since it'd be such a strange thing. You didn't, therefore you clearly don't know what you're doing.Chris Nelson 21:15, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Then don't argue. Just take my advice, and avoid editing topics you don't know enough about. If you didn't know enough about Lance Cormier to think it very odd he might have retired recently, you don't know enough to edit the Braves' roster. So stick to editing the articles about those horrible tastes in movies and music you have.Chris Nelson 21:19, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

G-Unit Feuds
Hi, I have put 'Past Feuds' under the same headings as 'Feuds' because if somebody want to read about a feud they select the person and once they have finished reading the paragraph/section they will know if the beef has stopped or if it is still continuing.
I have stopped insisting upon merging G-Unit and G-Unit Feuds so Please be co-operative.

G-Unit Feuds
No, because it is not clear enought to catergorize them in groups 'feuds' and 'Past Feuds' for example no disses have been released towards Ja Rule but then again nor econciliation has been made so for new readers it is not distinguishable enought to catergorize in the way that you have.

Colors
Please stop changing Dave Winfield's page to Yankees colors. He is in the Hall of Fame as a San Diego Padre and currently on the team's Board of Directors (http://sandiego.padres.mlb.com/team/front_office.jsp?c_id=sd). Thus, it is most appropriate to list him with Padres colors.
I think the colors with Dave Winfield can go either way - Padre or Yankee. I think the fact that he is on the Padres Board of Directors and remains active with the franchise, as well as the fact that he chose the team for his HOF cap, should give those colors the edge over the Yankees. There are many more Yankees on Wikipedia than Padres anyway so what you are doing is bordering on vandalism.
I will leave Jeff Nelson as a Yankee, though I still feel it's a tossup because he pitched 7 years in Seattle to 6 with the Yanks and also pitched for the M's during their best seasons. I won't budge on Reggie though - he should be listed for Oakland. However, the fact that he is shown with a photo on the Yankees, with Oakland colors, I think is a good compromise reflecting both teams. Let me know your thoughts.
Reggie may be known best as a Yankee in New York, but not in the rest of the country, particularly on the West Coast where he is revered as an Oakland A. Besides, it is the same dynamic on Rickey Henderson's page - Oakland colors and Yankee photo, and few remember Rickey as a Yankee in the grand scheme --Pascack
AIV
I removed it because it is not vandalism. As is apparent from the discussion immediately above you are in a content dispute over the team colours of players who have been in multiple teams over their career. Hello
Hello, Yankees10. I don't think we've ever personally interacted here before, but I would like to give you a friendly reminder to please remain civil when dealing with other users, especially newcomers like Pascack. I have his page on my watchlist, and some of the comments you left him were quite unencouraging and may turn him away from contributing to Wikipedia in the future. If you have a confict regarding which colors a baseball player should be represented with on his page and can't come to an agreement or compromise, you should go to a neutral third party and let them choose. Thank you. -- P.B. Pilhet, Recent Changes Patrol, 02:16, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- It's no big deal! I just don't like to see users get into an edit war and end up getting blocked (plus it's just not helpful to the encyclopedia). If the two of you can't reach an agreement or compromise, I suggest you enter the "resolving disputes" process. You can also check out Wikipedia:Edit wars and the Harmonious Editing Club for tips on dealing with disputes. As for him getting blocked again, his previous block was for uploading images without a proper license, not for revert warring. If he does start violating the three revert rule, then just let me know and I'll take the appropriate actions; but I hope it doesn't come to that if it can be helped. -- P.B. I never called you retarded. I called a general behavior retarded. Unless you're claiming to own such a behavior, I didn't call you anything. So don't go telling people lies because you can't interpret what I've written.Chris Nelson 04:06, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- Alright, I've got to ask you this. I'm in a discussion with Chrisjnelson about the comments that you and him both left each other. Surely, you are aware that he has been warned, also. Anyway, I've got to ask you: were you offended by anything he said? And by that, I mean this: here are some quotes from Chrisjnelson:
“ | Do you have an[y] mental defects? | ” |
“ | Shhh. It's okay baby. Everything's gonna be okay. | ” |
“ | You're so cute when you're angry. | ” |
“ | You clearly don't know what you're doing | ” |
“ | [S]tick to editing the articles about those horrible tastes in movies and music you have. | ” |
“ | I just think you're a retard and therefore hate you. | ” |
- Were you, in any way, offended by any of these comments? And if so, which ones? --Ksy92003(talk) 04:53, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Hey this question isn't fair. I've already said those last two were personal attacks, so why go through that again? Though I could care less if he thought the second and third ones were offensive. His personal problem, not mine. (And yeah, Ksy92003, you could reply with something like "we can make it your problem" or something, but as long as I know I didn't do anything wrong in reality I'm satisfied.)Chris Nelson 13:27, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Team colors
I can't believe you went to Momusfan's page to request him to vote for Reggie and Nelson. That is bush league.
Thanks
Hi, Thanks for being co-operative. I find it a lot more enjoyable working together rather than continually reverting the G-Unit Feuds article.

Archiving Your Talk Page
Hi, Just one more thing, Would oy like me to archive your talk page for you as I have done with mine? I just find it is easier to navigate with a less cluttered page.
Thanks --The-G-Unit-Boss 17:44, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
This is your last warning for making a personal attack on another user, Chrisjnelson at User talk:Yankees10/Milestones on June 27, 2007. You will be blocked if you make another personal attack on Chrisjnelson. Please remember to be civil when posting comments on discussion pages. --Ksy92003(talk) 18:30, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- You shouldn't have even been having that discussion, per WP:NOT#FORUM. This rule states that discussion pages are for discussion edits to Wikipedia and isn't the place to discuss topics such as the one that caused the argument. --Ksy92003(talk) 18:37, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- I told him that he shouldn't have said that and that you have every right to create whatever subpage you want. But that wasn't violating any rule. he was giving his opinion, and that's perefectly fine. He can't receieve a warning for that.
- And second, that isn't a personal attack... well, indirectly. I'm not sure if I can give him a warning for that because he didn't say anything harsh about you; he was comment your idea to create a subpage, not commenting on you for making that subpage. I told him that you can make a subpage about anything you want, but I can't give him any warning for that because he didn't violate any rule. --Ksy92003(talk) 18:42, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
It's Wikipedia-related. And sorry, but I'm allowed to edit and talk page or user page I want, justl like you are. So it is my business. This isn't myspace.Chris Nelson 18:48, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
Mediation
Please go to the user subpage that I have just created: User:Ksy92003/Mediation. The purpose of this page is so you may discuss your issues in a calm matter in one place, so the discussion doesn't need to be spread across three different pages. Here, you can say whatever you want to release any tension you have as a result of the argument and you will not be warned for any personal attacks or any other rule violations. Thank you. --Ksy92003(talk) 19:06, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Do you want to resolve your conflict with Chrisjnelson or not? I'm trying to help both him and you. You two don't seem to ever get along, and since both he and you have come to me to discuss this, I'm giving you two the chance to talk about it and say whatever you want so you can cool off. If you don't want to, then I won't hesitate to block you if you make another personal attack. --Ksy92003(talk) 20:45, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Very well, that's your decision. But I think it's only fair to let you know that I will be monitoring your edits to make sure that you don't make any other personal attacks on any other user. --Ksy92003(talk) 21:02, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Don't worry about me. I'll take care of the situation. Just worry about yourself, alright? --Ksy92003(talk) 21:07, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Because I'm trying to make sure that the tensions between you and Chris Nelson don't escalate into more than just harsh words. First, it's harsh words. Then, that might result in vandalism. I'm trying to make sure that nothing more happens. But you don't need to worry about this. You don't need to know what my motives are. --Ksy92003(talk) 21:11, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
Colors
Please refrain on changing Dave Winfield's colors on his info box. This is considered vandalism and you will be reported if it continues.
I'd leave Jeff Nelson as a Yankee, but Reggie is OAK and Winfield is Padres. Winfield is definitely San Diego, the guy played as many years there as he did in New York and grew up in the area. He is currently a senior Vice President for the SD franchise. Reggie is a compromise since he is shown with a Yankee photo and OAK colors.
I am reverting back to his playing days colors, as that seems to be the model with other players whose teams have since changed uniforms.
fine - make it current colors if you want, but I don't know why that matters so much to you.
Why do I even bother?
Alright. This isn't a warning or anything like that, so don't think you're in any trouble. But please be aware of WP:OWN. I'm sending you this comment because of the comment you left at User talk:192.234.99.1 which reads as follows:
“ | [Y]ou can at least let me pick what shade of color they should have. | ” |
I told you that I was monitoring both your contributions and Chris Nelson's, and I saw that you left this comment today. I just wanted to let you know. --Ksy92003(talk) 20:47, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
First of all, I still take the view of having retired players have neutral colors in their infobox. As far as Carter goes, I can only recall him playing with the Expos, but I also didn't know that the Expos were the team on his Hall of Fame plaque. I can't really answer because I only know him from the Expos, and I don't have any knowledge of him playing for the Mets. I still think the colors should be neutral, however. --Ksy92003(talk) 21:41, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Block
This account has been blocked for 24h as a result of a 3 revert rule violation. Regards, Signaturebrendel 21:49, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- I dont know why you didnt block the IP address also--Yankees10 22:41, 28 June 2007 (UTC)Yankees10
- There were too many IP's to block: he was IP hopping (I personally advised the admin to sprotect the page, but oh well). In any case, the bad behavior of another user is no excuse for badly behaving on your own. The Evil Spartan 00:30, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Well thats fair, I get blocked and he doesnt, when he continues to go around and change colors on infoboxes to colors they shouldnt be, and he changes the colors to what HE WANTS, like its only his decision--Yankees10 05:07, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Yankees10
Issue
The following is a message left at my talk page regarding the issue between you and Chrisjnelson. This comment was written by Soxrock, and if you have any questions about anything here, please reply to him.
“ | Look, I know I may be butting in, but, WHAT IS THE PROBLEM YOU GUYS HAVE WITH EACH OTHER? WHAT FREAKING DISAGREEMENT? I mean, I know you all can have your own opinions, but, Chris, why did you go onto one of Yankees10's pages and vandalize it (you may edit userpages as per WP:USER that Ksy pointed out to me, but that does NOT say you may VANDALIZE it) and then go to the pages talk page and campaign he be blocked? What the hell did he do to you? Absolutely nothing! And vandalism like that and saying you want him blocked is a personal attack in my opinion. He did nothing at all to you and you say he should be blocked for creating a subpage? A FREAKING SUBPAGE. YOU HAVE ONE YOURSELF! WHAT, DO YOU WANT YANKEES10 TO COME OVER TO THAT AND DELETE HALF THE LINKS? I BET YOU'D BE PRETTY PISSED OFF IF HE DID THAT, WOULDN'T YOU? As for you Yankees10, your summary, and other summaries you've made in the past, where you have called assholes is completely unacceptable. The user could take that as a personal attack themselves. How would you like Chris Nelson to call you an asshole? Bet you wouldn't like it and call it a personal attack. Now, you did have a personal attack thrown at you by Chris, but that does not allow you the right to personally attack Chris back. And, keep in mind, if he does not vandalize it, he IS allowed to edit your user page and sub pages. Now, having said all I've said, I recommend you go to Ksy's mediation page. You obviously have some problems you need to work out, and work out now. This cannot continue, or else one or both of you WILL BE BLOCKED FOR UNCIVIL BEHAVIOR. Keep that in mind. Peace, Soxrock 21:59, 28 June 2007 (UTC) |

Help me save the G-Unit Feuds article as somebody has put it up for deletion.
I have added my reason for it to be kept but we need some support.
