Recently, I created an article called "Destructive revolution" about the band I am in. I wrote a long and informative piece, which took me a long while to write. However a week a so later I see that it no longer exists. Why?

Hi Ichiro, I just saw that you closed the voting for Aladin with a "keep" resolution. I have asked that the closer will perform a sockpuppet check on the vote. Have you done such a thing and what was the outcome? Peter S. 01:15, 7 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're doing a great job closing all those AFDs. However You might find it helpful to use {{oldafdfull}} instead of {{oldvfdfull2}}: the former has the "Wikipedia:Articles for Deletion/" coded into it, making it more difficult to mis-type something. HTH HAND —Phil | Talk 09:53, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I question that the result of the debate was "Keep". I left a message on Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_deletion/Velvet_Cacoon. Could you respond to that? Thanks. —Quarl (talk) 2006-01-13 01:45Z
- I have changed the result from keep to no consensus, which would default to keep anyways. But thanks for pointing that out. --Ichiro 05:20, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks! —Quarl (talk) 2006-01-13 07:13Z
I'm a little confused as to why you are "relisting" AfDs. They are supposed to run a set period of time, and then the closing admin makes a determination based on the discussion of what action to take. Typically, "no consensus == no action == keep." I can understand relisting AfDs with a very low turnout (although we already have a bot that does just that), but I can't understand why you are relisting pages such as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of firearms in first-person shooters. Turnstep 01:48, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- For the record then, I think this is a very poor idea. At the very least, please let people know your criteria for "relisting". I've seen many AfDs closed by admins in which the AfDs had far fewer people contributing than some of the ones you've had relisted. Before relisting any more AfDs, I'd respectfully ask you to talk about this on the talk page for AfD. Thanks. Turnstep 14:09, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Sounds good, thanks for the response. Turnstep 15:41, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Turnstep. In particular, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Boarhouse, which you relisted despite having four votes to delete and no votes to keep. Please take your time when closing AfDs. Thanks! Stifle 01:53, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia being used for stock scam by ncans.net
[edit]Ichiro, That is exactly what I have been trying to get across to those from www.ncans.net who created the phoney 'naked short selling' site or subject on Wikipedia to begin with.It is no doubt true that had I not made a point to correct or dispute the contents Wikipedia might be criticised unfairly for a scam penny stock promotion using your very own encyclopedia for credibility.Glad you dislike it as much as I do.
If you or someone you know has knowledge of stocks then you might be able to follow this debate,or scam as I know it to be,and write the story yourself.I do not deny the existence of 'naked shorting'only that it is being used in this case to cover up and excuse illegal penny stock 'pump and dump' fraud the SEC does nothing about. Also no Blue Chip stock complains about it,only penny stocks or poorly managed ccompanies whose main income is from selling their worthless shares on the market. So while I don't deny 'naked shorting'it is not a great problem and does not destroy real companies.Has Toyota ever complained about being 'naked shorted' ? Has Sony ? Has MicroSoft or Apple ? I didn't think so.
I am asking you and Wikipedia to delete the naked short site altogether or study the issue yourselves. But please,if you allow it to remain, allow me to warn others about the half truths at best on the Wikipedia 'naked shorting' space or just get rid of it.I was defrauded of a lot of money in that scam.Where or how can I post my dissent if Wikipedia deletes it and allows only the fraudsters their say ?
Below is a link to the creators of the 'naked shorting' subject on Wikipedia,www.ncans.net.You may not have the experience to know a scam penny stock promotion website when you see one however the link below is a scam penny stock website and you can see from quotes below they know who I am and resent me for interfering with the extension of the 'naked short selling' scam they added to Wikipedia to lend credibility to their faud.
I am glad to answer any questions at : endoscam@lycos.com.Also my writing on this fraud is all over indymedia.org sites.Do a google search of 'endoscam'.I posted a number of those links to the 'naked shorting' subject space but Wikipedia or the crooks of ncans.net had them removed. Please do not allow the ncans.net crew to use Wikipedia for their supposed 'anti-nakled short selling'scam. You may note I did the controversial James Dale Davidson Wikipedia site, still unfinished. If Mr.Davidson has not complained or offered some reason to change it that's because my documentation of his scam is very detailed.I have my 2004 email correspondence with Davidson but I'd sure like to interview him if he ever complains.Yes it should be written in a more encyclopedic style but his penny stock scams that I and stocklemon.com and our-street.com discuss are all true and he is a Washington D.C. insider.
Also you might contact Mysid IN REGARDS TO THIS DEBATE AND HE MIGHT BE ABLE TO TELL YOU A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME.
Sincerely Tony Ryals

Re: Of Feces, Whirling Blades, and Unbridled Greed and Corruption... By mfairview on 1/17/2006 12:21 PM Looks like wikipedia got Ryal-ized. What a wacko this character is. Patchie, you might have a libel case against his recent statement: "David Patch is a known securities fraud who promotes the sleeziest of sleazy penny stocks not only through Gayle Essary's scammy Financialwire and investigatethesec.com websites but using Lycos ragingbull.com to bring in more suckers to defraud with penny stocks that run pump and dump activities and then as share price collapses as more shares are dumped cry 'naked shorting' and the SEC looks the other way."

My "vandalism" was not a mistake. I do not believe that removing Ayn Rand from the LGBT rights opposition category was vandalism, inasmuch as Ayn Rand did NOT oppose such rights. Hello. Please allow me to give a bit of advice. You closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Math Is Fun before the standard seven days because the nominator withdrew his nomination. However, it is my understanding that this is only allowed if the nomination did not attract any delete "votes"; this is backed up by Wikipedia:Speedy keep.
In this particular case, the article was clearly going to be kept, so no harm is done and I think we should keep the AfD page closed. But I think you shouldn't do so again. Cheers, Jitse Niesen (talk) 14:11, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

- Nevermind, I was looking in the wrong place for the rollback button, I see it now. Thanks for the tip VegaDark 06:10, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Hmm, while the rollback button is there, clicking it doesn't seem to work. It goes to a page where it says "Please wait, reverting edits by (Insert user here)... Getting article history (article history here)..." and does nothing after that. It doesn't actually revert anything, and I have waited for a good 45 seconds which should be much more time than it should take to do anything (I'm using cable). On the IE status bar it says "Error", which I am assuming has something to do with it. Any suggestions? VegaDark 06:44, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
