Hello, what do you mean it was a "test"? I'm not sure why you removed the addition of Theresa Dostaler to the notable people section of this page. Thank you.
McQuaid High School
What did you do to turn all my typing into foreign letters? I’ve only the best intentions in editing our Jesuit high school websites, and I think you’ll find maคy typos and mistakes removed through my editing, as well as numerous citations added. What are you up to?Jzsj (talk) 23:17, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
I have over 5000 edits and fully intended those to help McQuaid, until I started getting nonsense letters when I typed, simultaneous to your doing my edits. Can you tell me how I get out of those nonsense letters (or into them)? Thanks Jzsj (talk) 23:30, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- Hello Jzsj, thank you for contacting me. With your 3 most recent edits [1] you had introduced an unusual Unicode character and repositioned locational data outside the bounds of their appropriate fields. It was my determination that these changes were unintended and thus reverted. If you believe that this reversion was in error please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 23:31, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- My whole computer went into unicode on the web, and I've never had any experience with this. Can you tell me how to turn that off? As to the McQuaid changes, I think you'll find most of them created a more elegant website. I was about to move the history out of the introduction and make it a separate section when I ran into the "unicode" problem (on my whole of internet!). Can you tell me how to undo that? I know there's a way to enlarge the picture below an infobox and that may be where I got in trouble, importing a template from another infobox. Let's keep in touch, and I hope you'll check over my edits again and see that they make for a smarter appearance for the article. Thanks.Jzsj (talk) 23:51, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- I am not sure how or why the Unicode character was inserted with those changes. It may have been the result of an errant click on the Special characters drop down which appears while in editing mode, but it is not possible for me to know without being at your computer. If you find that this Unicode character issue is repeating, a restart of your system may resolve it. You are welcome to contact me any time for article review or any other concerns. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 00:00, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- You're right about turning off all internet programs, and it did go away. Please do check out my edits individually, as I believe in most cases people appreciate the help: they don't have time to tend to more than their official school website. In all my 5000-plus edits I can only remember one complaint: I was adding punctuation to Mr Fr and Dr and was told they do that different in England - so I went back and restored what they wanted. But consistency over the websites of Jesuit schools is a real, though secondary, issue.Jzsj (talk) 00:59, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

- Hello Suryavanshi bisen. While we welcome and appreciate your contributions, we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. To familiarize yourself with the citation process, Help:Introduction to referencing is an excellent starting point. If you have any additional questions or concerns after reviewing these links, please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 18:27, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

Your message
Hello Y. I am sorry for the lateness of this reply to your email. I only saw it late this morning - my time. I was only removing a protection template that didn't apply to the page so I hope you don't think I was commenting on your work because that was not my intention. I don't think you overstepped your bounds and I hope you can continue your project. Unfortunately, my understanding of how this kind of programming works is practically non-existent - WYSIWYG is the last time I knew what was going on :-) I'll bet you could find someone to help at the Wikipedia:Village pump (technical) if you need it. Again my apologies for any misunderstanding. Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 15:39, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you MarnetteD for your suggestions. I am seeking to update the default set of tools which are listed on the left-hand side, if that is possible. I will revisit this and if I run into any barriers will reach out to Wikipedia:Village pump (technical) for assistance. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 19:29, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

97.85.113.113 edits
Can you please stop reverting perfectly legitament edits by user 97.85.113.113. These edits are clearly not vandalism. If you have a reason to revert these edits, than you need to use the "edit summary" box to explain what you are reverting and why you are reverting these edits. EnRouteAviation (talk) 20:11, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hello EnRouteAviation, thank you for contacting me. I am aware of our guidelines as they pertain to edit summaries, which a review of my history should demonstrate. Please review the edit here by IP 97.85.113.113 [2] where an errant "Italic text" was placed in the article. This is what appeared in the Filtered Recent Changes live update, and was the basis for the revert. If there were any other rollbacks in error, that would clearly have been a mistake. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you witness any other errors on my part in the future. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 20:20, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Yamaguchi先生, I assumed it just from the live update. My message wasn't really being derogative towards you, but rater was just making sure that the automatic filter(s) was(were) not malfunctioning... Possible sockpuppetry
Hi, Noting you tend to be active on several posts on my watchlist, I wondered if you could check my suspicions on the following IPs. Back in October Materialscientist placed a six month block on User:42.83.86.146 for block evasion, as a sockpuppet of indef blocked User:Najaf ali bhayo. Since then I and other editors have reverted the same identical edit, changing language parameters, to the Peshawar article by the following IPs, with no edits on other articles by either of them. Accordingly I suspect they are the same editor:-
- User:86.143.94.107
- User:43.245.8.248
- User:43.245.9.11
- User:43.245.8.243
- User:43.245.8.158
- User:43.245.8.90
Should that be the case would a rangeblock on them be in order for block evasion? Richard Harvey (talk) 19:19, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Richard, thank you for contacting me. This does not appear to be a Zalingeishahpur SP, so there is no block evasion that I am aware of from this IP range. I am not familiar with the Najaf ali bhayo case as of yet, but will be reviewing throughout the week. If there is evidence of consistent and ongoing disruption and vandalism from a specific range while completely lacking credible contributions, that should be examined as well. It seems that there are currently multiple groups of socks targeting the Peshawar article. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 20:11, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
- Following up on this discussion, having reviewed Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Najaf ali bhayo, it does appear that there is slight overlap between Zalingeishahpur and Najaf ali bhayo, in terms of both their internet access and targeted subject matter. At this time, based on this specific activity, I would recommend submitting a new report for Najaf ali bhayo so that it may be reviewed by editors who have a better understanding of the Najaf accounts and their interactions. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 21:01, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Heros
Is a perfectly valid spelling, which your bot should not be changing. Johnbod (talk) 04:34, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hello @Johnbod:, thank you for contacting me. I do not operate an autonomous bot on Wikipedia, but I do make use of several scripts, including Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser which I believe you may be referring to. Without the benefit of a diff to review your specific concern, the only instance I could locate where heros was changed in favor of heroes recently was at the Me and Mr. Johnson article [3] while correcting several other typographical errors. I have conferred with sources online and in print, and while heros does appear to be a valid plural spelling, it does not appear to be the common or preferred spelling in this context. If this is of great concern to you, please raise this issue at Wikipedia talk:AutoWikiBrowser/Typos to achieve consensus on how to best proceed. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 18:53, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
Removing a "deleted" image
Just a heads up that your recent removal of a "deleted image" from an article was actually an image which did exist, when I thought to double-check it, but which a passing vandal had renamed from "banana" to "apple", the new file name never having existed. It's more common when someone search-and-replaces one word with another and breaks some image links in the process. --McGeddon (talk) 09:56, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you McGeddon for the correction. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 03:08, 19 December 2015 (UTC)
Possible Copyvios
Hi, I have just done a copyedit on the Karachi article, to a newly added section, that SheriffIsInTown extracted from something you had previously removed (See our discussion on his talkpage). As it maybe a copyvio of the complete sub-section section on food and cuisine, in the Art and Culture section of http://karshi.trade/city. Possibly that website is a mirror, but it does have a Copyright symbol claim on the website (Copyright 2014, A-Domains Limited). Having a quick look through the other sections of that Website, if it is not a mirror, it appears there may be a major amount of copyvios from it. Richard Harvey (talk) 02:23, 19 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Richard. I was not aware that the content was a copyvio, and was more concerned about the lack of verifiable sources for the material presented. I will have to take a closer look to see if this is the case, and determine whether or not it is possible that karshi.trade may have copied from an older revision of the Wikipedia article. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 03:07, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

Hey! Thanks for your advice. I'm trying to get as much information as possible, and my work on Sporting Clube de Portugal page is and endless work in progress, as the English page is still very incomplete, and doesn't do justice to the history of the club. It's my club, my username says it all, and its kind of hard to be neutral sometime, however, I understand the policy and I shall comply. Good edits! Oy, you, it's just me., Eric Ramus Why did you protect the deadmau5 article after some idiot changed his years active section to say 1994-present? The least you could do is the reasonable thing and change it to 1998-present, since it's confirmable that outside of demos which is glorrified messing around on the keyboard, he didn't do * all untill at least 1998. Or should I go along to a close friend of mine who shares my first name's article and put his years active to 1988-present, since he was doing similar stuff in that year?
- oh but Eric, your friend Eric Prydz was 12 at the time and you were only 4!" Deadmau5, joel was 13 in 1994, so, your point? I messed around with mixers and that in the mid 90's thanks to eric and would in that case be active from I'd say 1996-2999? (it was a while ago and was actually quite cool.)
So anyway yeah, eithe runprotect it so I can put it back to a sourcable year in Deadmau5's article (1998-present) the re-protect it after I do it, or fix it yourself. If not then I suggest you not revert it when I put 1988-present in Eric's article. Thanks, merry Christmas however you celebrate it

deadmau5 article incorrect dates
Yamaguchi, it's me again. Can you please go and put the years active on deadmau5's page to 1998-present? There is no source at all that says 1994-present. On the other hand there is a deadmau5 album called circa 1998-2002. Therefore that's the best source to go by. You need to do this because you're the one who made the rather unsmart move of protecting the page there yammi, sorry bud, but it wasn't the smartest move on your part. Anyway yeah, 1998-present, please change it to that at deadmau5 Thanks

Need admin assist on edit-warring user
Hi Yamaguchi, I have an WP:INVOLVED situation and could use your help. Would you please explain to Caly123 the facts on edit-warring? Here I initially reverted them because they're adding irrelevant information about Cartoonito in an article on Boomerang. They've reverted me twice with no explanation, and my detailed note on their talk page, where I also attempt to open discussion with them, has gone unanswered, except for this silent revert. I've since issued an L3 for disruptive editing, but perhaps hearing another voice will encourage them to speak. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:01, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
