Hello, YUAN JI and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Dolotta (talk) 07:04, 13 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Evaluation of Methanobacteria

[edit]

Article: [[1]]

This article is a short beginning of the introduction to the Methanobacteria which requires more content to be added. This topic is notable. Some reports have demonstrated the concentration of Methanobacteria in human subgingival plaque[1] and intestinal tract.[2] The application of Methanobacteria in waste management has been demonstrated in journals. [3]These resources cover the topic in-depth and are considered as independent sources with reputation of fact checking and peer review. Overall, this article has high notability and requires improvement.

Material in this article is relevant to the topic and contain appropriate and reliable references cited from reliable sources. However, many viewpoints are underrepresented or not represented. Missing information should be added to this article. In the talk page, this article has been rated as stub-class with high importance and requested a picture be included.

Some areas in this article need improvement. Since this article only introduced Methanobacteria in terms of taxonomy, other points such as habitat, metabolism, history, evolution and application should be added in order to expand the coverage of this topic. Also, more content could be added to the taxonomy viewpoints for readers' better understanding. I am going to improve the content about the applications of Methanobacteria in disease diagnosis and biomass degradation. Microbial community including Methanobacteriacan proceed anaerobic digestion, which has been used in biomass digestion to convert organic waste and provide clean energy. This method can ease energy shortage and CO2 emission problem especially in rural area.[4] The overgrowth of Methanobacteria has been included in breath tests which is used to evaluate patients' particular gastrointestinal disorders.[5]By adding these information, this article can introduce the applications of Mechanobacteria in environment management and disease control.
