Merging

[edit]

I've not much experience with school AfDs (I participated in one), but school stubs seem to me to be a natural candidate for merging: schools can naturally be grouped by geography, and doing so might lead to wider issues emerging that don't appear on the school level radar. --- Charles Stewart 15:22, 7 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Some suggestions

[edit]

Hello! You have a pretty good and interesting essay, but might I make a few suggestions?:

  • Perhaps cite some arguments you have read elsewhere as support for some of your points. Consider, for example, this argument.
  • Avoid overuse of "However" as the first word in sentences. My reasoning here is based on "Avoid starting a sentence with however when the meaning is 'nevertheless.' The word usually serves better when not in first position. . . . When however comes first, it means 'in whatever way' or 'to whatever extent.'" -William Strunk, Jr. and E.B. White, The Elements of Style, Fourth Edition (New York: Allyn & Bacon, 2000), 48-49.
  • Perhaps also link to some relevant discussions about schools, such as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Westland High School (Galloway, Ohio) and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Immanuel Lutheran Primary School.

I hope that helps! Sincerely, --Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 20:25, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
