Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Greeks in Albania have been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Albanian tribes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Arbëreshë. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

February 2022 – Autonomous Republic of Northern Epirus

[edit]

@Xgameboss123: You reverted my removal of a claim that lacked a reference to a reliable source since October 2010. You then included four sources that supposedly support this claim. Please share the quotes with me here or in the respective article, because i wasn't able to verify any of them; one was even a webpage about the history of the Greek language in general, and thus totally unrelated. You didn't even provide the pages for the three books you cited. I really hope you actually have something to show, and this isn't an introduction of false information, as you did earlier today in the article Expulsion of Cham Albanians. The only edit that i found ok, was your correction of the population estimate. Demetrios1993 (talk) 18:31, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Xgameboss123: Still waiting for you to present the aforementioned quotes. You may either share them here, or in the respective article; already tagged with Template:Request quotation. Demetrios1993 (talk) 09:24, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Xgameboss123, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.  Demetrios1993 (talk) 15:26, 18 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t own another account. I have a 72 hour ban which I’m serving this allegation is unneeded and useless. I own and use this account and this account only Xgameboss123 (talk) 15:28, 18 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Albanisation

[edit]

Can you please provide the quotes from the eight references (another issue per WP:OVERCITE) you included in the article Albanisation, that are meant to support the following sentence?

  • However this claim can’t be true because Albania had an Isolation policy which didn’t allow Albanians to leave the country like the case of modern North Korea.

Take note that you cannot be combining material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any of those sources; per WP:SYNTHESIS. Demetrios1993 (talk) 17:27, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

you clearly have 0 clue about Albanian history his surname shows his family roots are from the place of Rašica it’s a known fact and interesting however do as you will as you clearly know better Xgameboss123 (talk) 16:29, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This is not about who knows better, this is about Wikipedia's rules. WP:Verifiability, one of Wikipedia's core content policies, states: "Even if you are sure something is true, it must be verifiable before you can add it." and "All quotations, and any material whose verifiability has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, must include an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the material." Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 16:35, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

Hello, you've stated you're Agim Shuke's grandson [1]. Per Wikipedia policy you're required to state you have a conflict of interest with the article in your userpage per WP:COI. Having this in your userpage is enough: {{UserboxCOI|1=Agim Shuke}}. Otherwise as far as I know COI-related sanctions can be heavy. I recommend reading at least the policy's lead to understand it.

By the way, you say his surname was Shuka instead of Shuke. You can start a Requested move for restoring the title. You can read how to start one at WP:RM#CM. The primary Wikipedia policy for changing titles is WP:COMMONNAME. You'll have to prove reliable sources use "Shuka" more commonly than "Shuke" for the move to take place. Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 18:40, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Since Orli Shuka also has an article, you should also include him in the userbox, thus you'd need to copypaste {{UserboxCOI|1=Agim Shuke|2=Orli Shuka}}. Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 18:52, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I’ve done the following thanks for letting me know Xgameboss123 (talk) 20:32, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. You can remove the first one, since the second one includes the two. The exact text here shown in green {{UserboxCOI|Agim Shuke|Orli Shuka}} is all you need. Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 22:27, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

For example: Content in this edit is translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk pages of the destination article. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Battle of Driskos, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Albanian. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:51, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:43, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

December 2024

[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Nikola Pašić, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Joy (talk) 15:57, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, now that I look at this, this seems to have been a persistent issue reported since June, and you were warned numerous times.
I checked user contributions and I don't see anything in talk pages, and only a few user talk contributions earlier in the year.
The Wikipedia:Editing policy is fairly clear - in case of problems, it's necessary to be helpful and explain your changes, and to be cautious and discuss changes.
As there doesn't seem to be any change in this detrimental behavior in months, I'm issuing a block. Please feel free to appeal for the block to be undone after you review the applicable policies and guidelines. --Joy (talk) 16:02, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
