Reply to Doctor Who comment

[edit]

Thanks for the advice and I will be happy to help. Just sent me a thing on my talk page when you are in an argument and I'll buzz in to see what the situation is. Evilgidgit 17:53, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Xdt, and thanks for your comment on my user page. I apologize if my comment at the WikiProject came across as rude — it wasn't my intent. Looking at your comment on Evilgidgit's talk page helped me understand the source your frustration a bit better.
I haven't worked on the monsters/aliens list much lately, but I think that the current solution (placing one-shot monsters on the page relating to the serial or episode in which they appear) is a good one for keeping its size down. I don't think the current list is too long, and I also don't like the idea of splitting the new and classic series (where would you put the Autons, for example?). Perhaps if you could explain your frustrations a bit more at Talk:List of Doctor Who monsters and aliens the editors there would have some good ideas for improving the page. Good luck! —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 03:47, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Those titles are from the new Doctor Who Magazine, apparently. It's not officially out until January 4, but some early copies are out now. —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 00:00, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It might be a placeholder title. I can't confirm it myself, but people are discussing it on the Outpost Gallifrey forums. The BBC has confirmed the Daleks in New York, so it's not revealing anything that isn't already out there. —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 00:06, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Slabs - and Comments

[edit]

Yeah, its definitly slab, I thing the whole slav thing probably came from rumors before it aired, I think its ment to mean somthing like its as thoughtless as a slab of stone.--Wiggstar69 08:23, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah its good, I can see a lot of work has gone into it, but on the question of adding human enimies as well 'or' those in human form, then I'd say 'yes' but you'd have to make sure that you have every monster, robot, etc, possible from the new series of Doctor Who with detail (I'll add in any names needed), then when you have finished Doctor Who then the page can be moved onto Torchwood and maybe even SJA--Wiggstar69 08:19, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I hope you don't mind but I made some changes to the page (most notible was i renamed sisters of plentitude to cat people (because the sisters arn't a race and cat people are))--Wiggstar69 10:51, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Personally I'd just stick to the main ones, once we have finished with that then minor roles. Also if your still thinking of doing human badies you might want to do that too. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wiggstar69 (talkcontribs) 13:58, 15 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Yes, I think because the Dalek/Human Hybred is a new creature it should have its own section.--Wiggstar69 09:46, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea, think it all out in advance then you can put all the titles up and we'll start expanding the page!--Wiggstar69 18:22, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Brilliant, maybie if you also add K9?? The only problem I have with adding the editor is that if you add him it seems that you should add the main human charictors as well eg. rose, the doctor, martha, micky. What do you think?--Wiggstar69 15:27, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lazarous

[edit]

I think that Lazarous as a monster should be refered to as "Lazarous Transformed"--Wiggstar69 15:09, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your userpage

[edit]

May I point you to this page, which states that userpages may only "present information relevant to working on the encyclopedia". Your userpage reads more like a fan website, which is not permissible. If you've any queries, please leave me a message, or type {{helpme}} on this page. Thanks,--Rambutan (talk) 17:18, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

May, I point out that it is my sandbox that I have been working on in hopes of using parts of it on an actual encyclopedia.

Fair use rationale for Image:Sistersofplenitude.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Sistersofplenitude.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 1 != 2 14:58, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Sistersofplenitude.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sistersofplenitude.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 21:13, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Xdt! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 4 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
