Your submission at Articles for creation: Xanya Sofra (December 20)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected and cannot be resubmitted. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by DoubleGrazing was: This submission is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: I thought this was a biography, but it looks like a copypaste of an entire research paper. Whatever it is, it's not a viable draft for an encyclopaedia article.

Hello,

Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with Wikipedia articles, so you know what sort of content we can accept. Then, use the article wizard at WP:YFA to draft your articles, that way they will better comply with our various guidelines.

Do not post research papers into Wikipedia. We are an encyclopaedia, and only summarise what independent and reliable sources (mainly secondary ones) have previously published. We do not publish any original research. Also, we cannot accept content copied from elsewhere.

Finally, do not post content on your user page User:Xanya Sofra Ph.D which does not comply with our user page policy at WP:UP.

Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:00, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Hello, Xanya Sofra Ph.D, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, visit the Teahouse, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hello Xanya Sofra Ph.D -- Here via your question at Asilvering's talk page. I assume that you are this Xanya Sofra -- if so, then your academic achievements do not yet meet the threshold for inclusion of academics, which in a medical field would need thousands of total citations, and at the very least multiple papers with few coauthors receiving >100 citations. The guideline for writers is generally interpreted as requiring at minimum two books that have each received multiple reviews in mainstream publications such as academic journals or national newspapers. In addition, as others have advised you, writing an autobiography is strongly discouraged. I hope this is helpful, at least in preventing you from wasting your time; if you need help with general editing then the Teahouse is a friendly forum for newcomers. Though the folks at Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk may be more helpful with the finer points of article creation. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 07:44, 21 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
