More context needed for The investigators adventure

[edit]

Thank you for starting an article on The investigators adventure. However, it needs to be expanded to add more context, so readers can understand more about the series—and other editors, like myself, can help improve the article. Specifically, who wrote the series of books? —C.Fred (talk) 17:56, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.

The article The investigators adventure has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it was a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Please also note that articles must be on notable subjects and should cite to reliable sources which verify their content. Please only repost the article in a form that meets these standards. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —C.Fred (talk) 18:41, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on The investigators adventure, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Karl 334 TALK to ME 18:50, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Before you try to create another article on The investigators adventure, please answer these questions. You may reply here, on this talk page, right below the questions.
  1. Who is the author of the series of books?
  2. What other books, if any, has the author written?
  3. Are there any newspaper or magazines about the author?
  4. Are there any published book reviews about the books?
Depending on these answers, we may be able to help you start the article—or we can explain how the books should not have an article on Wikipedia. —C.Fred (talk) 18:59, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on FlipBackXD requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Electric Catfish 21:05, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
