@Adam9007: Hi, I understand that you have you have placed clean up tags on my article I created Duncan_Barkes because it does not meet the correct Criteria. I wanted to clean it up and just wanted to ask about the "dead end" tags. I have links to other Wikipedia articles where it says "links" does this not count as Wikipedia link< if not how do I link articles please? is there a place you could suggest I could go to read up about this? sorry for such a lot of questions. thank & merry ChristmasXXample (talk) 22:41, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@XXample:I did not add the "dead end" tag, but it means there are no links to other Wikipedia articles. I see there are plenty of links to other Wikipedia articles, but the problem is that you made them external links. The editor who put the tag apparently didn't realise that the "external" links you put in are in fact internal links. They should be changed. Adam9007 (talk) 23:31, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Adam9007: oh okay, thanks for that. I'll change them all to internal links then.XXample (talk) 23:48, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

(See section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Hi, I wanted to have a guestbook on my user page, I don't know where I am going wrong. Please could you possibly take time out to talk me though it???XXample ~ Let's Chat 13:05, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Pages such as your guest book usually are sub-pages of the user page, and you indeed have created it at User:XXample/guestbook. Please note the "User:" prefix; that distinguishes pages in the User namespace from the "main" or "article" namespace without a prefix. If I were to create a guestbook I'd probably add a very short introduction to the page; even if it's just "Please sign below" it will tell others how you want to see it handled.
I'll fix the links on your user page and have them point to the right namespaces. The link to your user page, of course, will be self-referential. Huon (talk) 21:57, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi XXample, I wasn't sure if you are aware that your link on User:Bydand/ABs leads to User:XXample/Guestbook, and the link on your userpage leads to User:XXample/guestbook, which are two different and seperate pages. ~ Anastasia [Missionedit] (talk) 20:29, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
