Sockpuppetry notice

[edit]

Hello, XEuser!. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. GraYoshi2x►talk 14:56, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have blocked this account indefinitely. Marking one account as "retired" and then immediately creating a new account to do the same activity violates WP:SOCK. Wknight94 talk 15:09, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

User:boyhere is retired, this is a new user

Decline reason:

No, User:boyhere is blocked, and this is an evasion of that block. You are not allowed to change accounts just because one has been blocked. Mangojuicetalk 15:20, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I concur. You can't expect "retiring" under a cloud and continue editing the same area. -- Luk talk 15:22, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As I told your original account, a request to rename Boyhere can be submitted, but simply jumping from one account to another is not allowed. Are you saying you want to edit from this account and only this account? I would consider unblocking this one and blocking the other if you'd prefer - as a one-time gesture. But jumping from one account to another willy-nilly is not generally permitted. Wknight94 talk 15:41, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. I am saying only use this account.User:Boyhere--XEuser! (talk) 16:13, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies: I had assumed Boyhere was blocked indefinitely but was not. Regardless, this is a clear violation of WP:SOCK; see WP:SOCK#SCRUTINY. Wikipedia has a compelling interest in keeping tabs on your behavior and you do not get to change accounts to make that more difficult. If you were making an honest fresh start that could be acceptable but such a fresh start would not start by repeating the activity that got you in trouble before. Mangojuicetalk 15:42, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Per above, I have unblocked this account and indefinitely blocked the other one instead. Wknight94 talk 16:22, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ummmm, I undo your sockpuppetry block and then you start editing as 66.30.164.2 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) and edit war over sock tags? Seriously, pick one identity and stay with it, please. Wknight94 talk 20:05, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Editing issues

[edit]

One day after a clean start under a new username and I find you making edits like this again. Do not continue to make such nonsensical redirects; you should be fully aware of the policies and guidelines that are in place now. If you're not, then maybe you shouldn't be editing Wikipedia. GraYoshi2x►talk 13:48, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for abusive sockpuppetry. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Request reason:

I am NOT a sockpuppeter

Decline reason:

Funny. I read the exact same request at the IP page mentioned above. — Daniel Case (talk) 15:35, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're continuing to log out to edit war since your unblock and since your last warning. And now I'll go tell your IP the same thing... Wknight94 talk 13:14, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
