Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Oh My General. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! ArbCom 2017 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Wwandawoman. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Emperor Taizu of Song, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Later Han (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at William the Conqueror shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Notice

The article Noble Consort Tong has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. Hitara moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Hitara, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Removal of content

[edit]

Hello. I have noticed that you are interested in working on the articles of Chinese imperial consorts. That is good, but it seems that you are emptying the articles of content, leaving only genaology, titles and names. An article in Wikipedia should contain more than titles and names, and such content should not be removed. Sometimes, content can be questioned, but the correct way in that situation is to put a tag requesting references for that content, not to remove it. The correct way is not to delete all content of an article. No matter how well intended, such acts could be regarded as vandalism. If you have your own information to an article, then the correct way is to add it to the article without removing the old content. Content should never be removed unless it is incorrect. In some cases, you have removed the entire contect of articles even when there are sources and the content are substantial and relevant, leaving only the formatting of names and titles left. Please refrain from doing so in your future editing. Thank you. Happy editing. --Aciram (talk) 23:18, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Hi - I noticed that you removed the middle dot between the surname and given name of the birth names of the Qing dynasty emperors. Is there a reason for that? My understanding is that Manchu names rendered in Chinese should have the middle dot instead of a space. e.g. 愛新覺羅·玄燁 and not 愛新覺羅 玄燁. Theknightwho (talk) 17:29, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
