Good work but be careful of conflict of interest

[edit]

Keep up the good work on the Wurzels article, but do beware of falling foul of Wikpedia's Conflict of Interest policy which restricts contributions by people closely connected to the topic an article. Keep your edits strictly information-only and neutral in tone and you should be OK. --Simple Bob (talk) 13:20, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to The Wurzels. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. You might also want to read WP:OR which is relevant as "checking it out with the band" is exactly what that is Simple Bob (talk) 16:43, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I fail to understand. The changes I have made are clearly detailed on the band's latest 2010 CD sleeve and they are repeated on the band's official website. These facts are also underpinned at the every live gig by the band where the 5th member plays on stage, is introduced by the lead singers and, finally, the drummer's nickname of Amos is used. What more verification do you need!?Wurzelpedia (talk) 06:46, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sources need to be verifiable. Give a publication (or if none is available then at least a link on the band's website) that backs up the information. --Simple Bob (talk) 08:14, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at The Wurzels, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. And that is exactly what I did!

Fair enough, but given your link with the band and its website you shouldn't be editing this article due to the conflict of interest (WP:COI) --Bob Re-born (talk) 22:54, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
