Great addition, Emma! I think it fits our conservation and biodiversity theme very well. A few small suggestions:

- Add more links to Wikipedia pages, including Fresh Kills Landfill etc. Also, highlight "ecosystem services", not just "services".

- The same authors (Robinson and Handel) who performed the Fresh Kills analysis also did another project at a closed landfill in NJ (https://esajournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1890/1051-0761(2000)010%5B0174:DSPORD%5D2.0.CO;2). I actually resurveyed that site and found it had really grown into a forest - https://esajournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1890/15-0075. Now, I think you're not supposed to push papers by your professor in the Wiki assignment...But it is up to you...At the least, the first paper (Robinson and Handel 2000) is relevant.

Overall, nicely written, meeting Wikipedia's expectations for tone, etc. Your references are good too. Jeffcorbin518 (talk) 22:33, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
