[edit]
Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or website, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 16:54, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I understand my username violates Wikipedia's Username Policy and gives the impression of organizational representation. Hi there! Can you tell us what types of edits you would like to make if you were unblocked? Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 20:57, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for reviewing my request!
If unblocked, I’d like to contribute neutral, well-sourced content about field service management software and related industries. Specifically, I want to draft an article about WorkWave, following Wikipedia’s Neutral Point of View policy and using reliable third-party sources.
I understand the importance of avoiding promotional content and will stick to Wikipedia’s Conflict of Interest guidelines. To ensure neutrality, I plan to work in the Draft namespace and submit through the Articles for Creation process for independent review.
Thanks for your time, and let me know if you have any questions! WorkWave (talk) 14:18, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello there, any response? Would love to keep editing soon. Thank you. WorkWave (talk) 14:17, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@WorkWave, can you please tell us what kinds of edits you would like to make? Not the edits a chatbot is suggesting you make? -- asilvering (talk) 06:26, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@WorkWave: Please be patient. Your request is one of dozens in the queue of unblock requests. Like every other Wikipedia user, administrators are volunteers and can only do so much. Your unblock request make take days or even weeks to be evaluated. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 06:43, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have changed my username to reflect the guidelines to follow from Wikipedia. I want to add factual information about WorkWave and their products in the SaaS field service industry. This is all for the sake of having clear and cited information on Wikipedia. I am aware that this is not a promotional tool and should not be written as such. Just learning the in-and-outs of Wikipedia, which is how I was flagged in the first place. Thank you. WorkWave (talk) 13:49, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, and you work for WorkWave? -- asilvering (talk) 14:04, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I do. We are just trying to put our unbiased company information up. We would like to also add other product information in the future. WorkWave (talk) 16:43, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, you need to read WP:COI and WP:PAID very carefully, please. They set out some very specific rules about how you can go about doing this. Once you've understood them (feel free to ask any questions), come back here and tell us how you would write the article, get it to mainspace, and then edit it thereafter. Thanks. -- asilvering (talk) 16:48, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please also be aware that Wikipedia is not a business directory, so a company is not entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because it exists. All topics must be notable by Wikipedia's definition to merit inclusion. In the specific case of a company, it must meet the notability criteria for companies and organizations. For this to happen, the company must have already received significant coverage in multiple reliable and independent sources. We have no interest in what a company wishes to say about itself, as this is an inherent conflict of interest. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 18:27, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much for your patience and for pointing me in the right direction. I’ve read through the COI and Paid Contribution guidelines now, and I get what I need to do moving forward.
My plan is as follows:
  • I’ll make sure I’m transparent about my connection to WorkWave, starting with a note on my user page and mentioning it in edit summaries when I work on anything related.
  • I won’t directly create or edit any main articles. Instead, I’ll use the Draft namespace to build drafts and submit them through the Articles for Creation process, so independent editors can review and decide if it’s neutral and fits Wikipedia’s guidelines.
  • I’ll stick to facts that are backed by solid, third-party sources and avoid anything that could sound promotional. I know Wikipedia isn’t for advertising.
For future edits, I’ll suggest changes on the Talk page instead of jumping in directly, so it can be looked at by others.
I just want to get this right and make sure I’m adding content that’s useful and appropriate. Let me know if there’s anything else I need to keep in mind. Appreciate all the help! WorkWave (talk) 14:18, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Great. Can you write the template that you'd put on your userpage to disclose your paid status? I realize you can't edit your userpage right now, but I can just copy it over for you. In the meantime I'll try to flag down someone to rename you. -- asilvering (talk) 02:59, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, you'll also have to pick a more unique username, I'm afraid. That's too close to one that already exists. -- asilvering (talk) 04:10, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This username was suggested through here. We can go with any variation of EditingWikipedia2024, WikiEditsCafe, etc. WorkWave (talk) 13:41, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I am a Wikipedia editor affiliated with WorkWave, a company that provides SaaS solutions for field service management. As part of my role, I am contributing to Wikipedia to improve or create articles related to WorkWave and its products in a neutral and fact-based manner.
I am making these contributions as part of my work for WorkWave. I am aware of and committed to following Wikipedia’s Paid Contribution Disclosure policy, Conflict of Interest policy, and Neutral Point of View policy.
To ensure neutrality and transparency, I will only work in the Draft namespace to create or improve content. All content will be submitted for independent review through the Articles for Creation process. I will not make direct edits to mainspace articles or add promotional content.
If you have any questions or concerns about my edits, feel free to reach out to me. Thank you! WorkWave (talk) 13:54, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, this isn't the template I'm talking about, and it sounds like AI again. It's very important that you understand these guidelines, and we can't tell if you do or not if you use chatbots to communicate. -- asilvering (talk) 14:16, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Here is a shorter rewritten version:
I work for WorkWave, and as part of my role, I’m contributing to Wikipedia to improve or create articles about the company and its products. I understand that this means I have a conflict of interest, and I’m committed to following Wikipedia’s rules ( WP:COI and WP:PAID) about neutrality, paid contributions, and proper disclosure. I want to make sure everything I add is factual, neutral, and backed by reliable sources. Please feel free to reach out if there’s ever a concern about my edits. WorkWave (talk) 14:23, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Here is another version as prescribed by Wikipedia:
WorkWave (talk) 15:26, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Asilvering is looking for a very specific template for disclosing, which can be found at WP:PAID. Please closely review how to disclose your connection to the subject. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 01:42, 21 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've renamed to WikiEditsCafe. Elli (talk | contribs) 02:13, 21 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Elli. @WikiEditsCafe, it really sounds to me like you're using AI to communicate here and don't actually understand what you need to do to contribute as a paid editor, but now that you're renamed, I'll unblock you. If you don't abide by the encyclopedia's guidelines, especially the paid editing guidelines, I am confident that you will be blocked again, and I can't promise that you'll get another chance. Good luck. -- asilvering (talk) 03:53, 21 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have taken the liberty of putting the {{paid}} template on your userpage, as you have disclosed your employment on this talk page. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 04:52, 21 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
