Thanks especially for your work on Worcesterhire busses. Please also see Talk:List of bus routes in Worcestershire for notes on recent changes. It is strongly advisable to include an,extra table column for individual sourced references for each route. Bus routes in Worcestershire are volatile and need to be constantly updated. Worcestershire buses

[edit]

See my reply on my talk page. This is the table that I removed from the Malvern article. We don't generally provide this much detail in an article's transport section.

The references were deleted because they linked to pages that no longer exist. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 13:53, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the removal of this section, much better to link back to List of bus routes in Worcestershire and keep this one page updated.
You mentioned putting an extra table column for individual sourced references for each route on List of bus routes in Worcestershire. I agree with this in principle, but linking to the individual timetables from the county council website will cause problems as every update to a timetable will break the link as they use link IDs for each timetable uploaded.
The worcestershirebus.info website is more stable as they have each timetable on a separate page and links to this website would only need updating when services are withdrawn or new services introduced.
Another option is to link to the bus operators' websites, but this would also be high maintenance.
What do you suggest would be the best method of referencing? Worcesterbuses (talk) 12:16, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No sure. You're the expert on busses, but I would think linking to the sources that would need the least maintenance. If the extra table column uses the same ref several times, you probably know how to do that with grouping the footnote, but if not you can look it up at WP:CITE. Let me know on my talk page if you get stuck. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 13:05, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
