Final warning

[edit]
Copyright violations

Contributors who repeatedly post copyrighted material despite appropriate warnings may be blocked from editing by any administrator to prevent further problems.

If you suspect a copyright violation, you should at least bring up the issue on that page's discussion page. Others can then examine the situation and take action if needed. Some cases will be false alarms. For example, text that can be found elsewhere on the Web that was in fact copied from Wikipedia in the first place is not a copyright violation on Wikipedia's part.

If a page contains material which infringes copyright, that material – and the whole page, if there is no other material present – should be removed. See Wikipedia:Copyright violations for more information, and Wikipedia:Copyright problems for detailed instructions.

We have deleted the page [Great lakes electric fish barrier]] you created by copy and pasting copyright material - If I see this again It will be reported, thus leading to a ban. Moxy (talk) 23:53, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I'm starting a discussion at WP:AN3 about your conduct. --Wehwalt (talk) 00:47, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for Creating Copyright violations. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. FASTILY (TALK) 05:26, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You are blocked until you decide you are ready to start editing constructively. This means no edit warring and no copyright violations. -FASTILY (TALK) 05:26, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If any admin is moved to consider an unblock, I suggest a condition that he avoid John A. Macdonald and Checkers speech for three months.--Wehwalt (talk) 16:19, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

indefininte block for first block, first block should be 24 hours Woodgastrains (talk) 04:00, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. --jpgordon::==( o ) 04:09, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

It is pleased asked for help to explain this copyright ban. The ban is for copyright yet the examples are not forthcoming. If an editor files a copyright ban should not examples be given. It is asked that the editor be asked to provide examples. Could an admin record this request for mediation.

Decline reason:

Perhaps (below) you missed the part in the deletion log where the same administrator re-deleted the page under speedy deletion criterion G12, for "blatant copyright infringements". Copying text from other websites is not permitted - all content must be in your own words. Rearranging text somewhat does not constitute enough creative effort to justify a change in copyright ownership. Your edit warring elsewhere is also unacceptable - please review our policy on consensus and how it works. Hersfold (t/a/c) 17:50, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is this copyright? Montgomery's Tavern The editor thinks sir john a macdonald was not at this battle and removes all references to this, but that is not the issue here, The issue is copyright Quote the orginal"The militia forces, which included a 22-year old militia private named John A. Macdonald, marched to the door of Montgomery's Tavern where the order was shouted to any inside to come out and surrender."http://www.uppercanadahistory.ca/tt/tt5.html

http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Battle_of_Montgomery%27s_Tavern&diff=441253413&oldid=440725193 (rv more copy and pasting - think its time for a formal report)

posted onto wiki John A. Macdonald was ordered to the door of Montgomery's Tavern and shouted the message to any inside to come out and surrender! Look john shouting was not in the copyright material, so how could it be copyright? The issue is not copyright, the issue is john a never said this in the reference? --Woodgastrains (talk) 04:56, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
