Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Wood1946, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome!  Tacyarg (talk) 00:21, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You tagged the images as "own work", although one appeared to be from a newspaper. Did you take these yourself? Tacyarg (talk) 00:22, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, my name is Bill Belk. This is my personal Wikipedia page. These pictures belong to me and do not violate any copyright laws. I have had them for more than 50 years. No, these pictures aren't from newspapers. Please add them back to my page.
Thanks,

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 00:42, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Everything on my page are facts including my pictures. I'm not trying to promote myself. I'm 78 years old. I'm just trying to add photos so my grandchildren and family will always have something to remember me by. I'm too old to be advertising, publicizing or promoting myself. I retired almost 50 years ago from playing professional football. Wood1946 (talk) 00:48, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
