knight-errant

[edit]

Most of what I've read about the genre states that knights tended to shy away from romantic relationships with woman. And they never set out to rescue some random damsel in distress. This is one thing that sets China's knights apart from their European counterpart. However, there are tales where knights set out to rescue their lord's love interest. Read Kunlun Nu for more info. You should also consult The Chinese Knight-Errant in the page's references section. I hope this helps you out. --Ghostexorcist (talk) 06:37, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

lol. i'm not affiliated w/ any professional player or organization. seeing as daigo had his own page, i figured justin was notable enough for inclusion b/c he's the most decorated of the current crop of sf4 pro-gamers. --Wongba (talk) 21:16, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
All right. Well, your username was "Wong" and his last name was "Wong", so you can see how I came to that conclusion. No worries. The article looks good, by the way. ALI nom nom 21:18, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
oh... yeah, i can see where u might have thought i was affiliated now. my surname is actually not "wong." wongba actually means something in chinese and that's my only reason for using it. --Wongba (talk) 21:25, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's ignorance on my part then. XD Sorry! ALI nom nom 00:27, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Justin Wong, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Justin Wong. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. –MuZemike 23:14, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Need sources to prove notability next time? Might want to try using these in the future:

Add examiner.com to this at the beginning (it is blacklisted, you may have to try and get it whitelisted before you use it as a source): /x-53632-Competitive-Video-Gaming-Examiner~y2010m7d13-EVO-2010-Has-Champions-and-Upsets-EVO-Going-To-Japan

You can also use the Evolution Fighting Championships as a reference since it shows what tournaments he's won. --nothingxs (talk) 15:43, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

thanks, i'll keep these in mind. but i'm not going to try for awhile b/c i'm pretty disillusioned by the entire experience. i don't enjoy having my intentions and credibility questioned. if justin manages to win ssf4 in evo over daigo, i'll give it another shot. that obviously won't be for awhile. --Wongba (talk) 18:30, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Seems to me like your motivation here is off. The idea is to have your entire, fully sourced article ready before you even upload it, particularly as of late. A trick is to search Google News for articles with Justin Wong's name in them. You should go ahead and remake your user page into your original upload for the Justin Wong page so that, if anything, I can take it and fully source it and reupload it if necessary. --nothingxs 14:18, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
have at it dude. --Wongba (talk) 15:36, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Where's your original version of your article? --63.111.117.1 (talk) 17:13, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
oh right. here's the link. --Wongba (talk) 20:14, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:17, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
