Thanks for uploading File:Howard Markel.jpg, which you've attributed to A VRT notice was applied over 60 day(s) ago, but no message at VRTS has been found since this tag was applied.. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. A tag has been placed on File:LL Markel.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. All of my edits have been sourced. I have also removed some of the "puffery." I am interested in continuing to make the necessary edits to that all content is accurate and noteworthy. Your recent edit removing content from, and changing the section title of COVID-19 back to Sars-COV2, is removing both accurate and noteworthy information and as well as replacing it with less accurate information (the section title should be COVID-19). For example - Reflecting the significance of the widespread "social distancing" which took effect during the pandemic, on April 22, 2020 The New York Times chronicled the concept's origins. The article illustrated how Markel and other researchers worked for years "to overcome skepticism and make it federal policy. -- linking a SOURCED ARTICLE about how the subject worked to make "social distancing" federal policy is hardly advertising!
