You don't vote here, you vote (only once) on the AfD page. You appear to be ignoring everybody's advice. Let me lay it out easily for you. In order for a person to be given a Wikipedia article, they must be mentioned in multiple secondary, reliable, independent sources, non-trivially. This does not include a list of authors on the website of a publisher or educational institution. And since the criteria specify secondary sources, the fact that this person has published in any journal, no matter how important the journal is, is irrelevant. The guidelines and rules are in place to maintain the quality, over quantity, of Wikipedia articles; the purpose of Wikipedia is to collate reliable information already published by independent sources.

You are not going to win this battle by pretending to be ignorant of Wikipedia's policies, or by repeating the same Keep message over and over again.

Dear Pingumeister, probably most scholars will disagree with your statement that "the fact that this person has published in any journal, no matter how important the journal is, is irrelevant". It is a lifetime achievement to publish in the highest ranked journal of a discipline and clearly much more important than many citations from lower ranked journals. Quality matters more than quantity in academia today. It is confusing that you still seem to think it would be vice versa. This reveals that you are not an academic and cannot judge this. Quality should always surpass quantity.--Wiwigald32 (talk) 09:29, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This has nothing to do with my opinion on what makes an academic (or any person) great. While I am sure he is a very talented, intelligent and successful academic, what makes a person great is not the same as what qualifies them for a Wikipedia article. It is also clear you have vested interests in this article as you have admitted you know the person in question personally, and you are refusing to back down. It is this simple – if you want to create a Wikipedia article, follow the policies. -- Pingumeister(talk) 11:49, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, your obvious conflict of interest is clearly against Wikipedia guidelines. That alone is a very important reason why you should not be creating this biographical article. -- Pingumeister(talk) 11:52, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

You are suspected of sock puppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then, if you wish to do so, respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Wiwigald32. Thank you. -- Pingumeister(talk) 21:14, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
