Muhammad ibn Zakariya al-Razi

I think he was Persian, he obviously traveled whole Middle east, but Baghdad? Bladesmulti (talk) 20:25, 21 January 2014 (UTC)

As far as his ethnic/cultural/linguistic origin goes, yes, I too believe he was Persian (although I'm not sure if the primary sources are explicit about it). But I usually write in the "Region" field all the places that had a major role on his biography. According to the source I'm reading, he studied and practiced medicine in his youth in Baghdad and settled there twice. Also, Baghdad and al-Rayy are the only two locations mentioned in the source. Persia/Persian are not mentioned there. Wiqi(55) 21:11, 21 January 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Muhammad ibn Zakariya al-Razi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rey (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
