Spelling

Thanks for your many contributions but could you please use a spellchecker before you post? It's a shame that people have to clear up after you when you could check your spelling yourself and they could be doing more productive work. We all make one or two spelling mistakes but amongst your edits today we have had: "Tripolitania is generaly pro-Gadaffi, while Cyrencia is largly anti-Gadaffi. The Fezzan is still neautral in the revalution" and "Serveral Pro-Gaddafi ralyies occerd in Tripoli as dozens of Libyans made angry over caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in the Italian press". Thanks, Ericoides (talk)

I'm glad you find it amusing, but you are just creating more work for other people. Take this edit from today: [1]. One of the ships is named twice (as is the fact that they are on their way up the canal), the ships' names are not in italics, the date format is incorrect and the ref is a bare url. If you took time to learn how to do these things properly it would be greatly appreciated and you would not receive so many messages like the ones I see below. Please slow down and take more care. Thanks, Ericoides (talk) 11:11, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Fair enough; I'm sorry I did not see it. But could you please note the other things I mentioned that you still left unchanged? Thanks, Ericoides (talk) 11:31, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Photos and commons

Hi. Please could you upload your freely licenced images to Wikimedia Commons rather than Wikipedia? That way they can be used on any Wikimedia project, and be categorised with other images. Further, uploading them here just means someone else has to transwiki them. I would also urge you to consider WP:NOTREPOSITORY in your editing. Collections of images are suited for Commons, not an encyclopaedia.

However, I would like to thank you for contributing the images, it's always good to have another person advancing the cause of free media. -mattbuck (Talk) 12:21, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Obsoleat image

A tag has been placed on File:Dudley station plaque.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

It has the wrong name, see my correctly named photo .

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Wipsenade (talk) 11:05, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

schools in Dudley

Hey, I noticed you were busy cleaning up school articles in Dudley, good work! I moved the list articles to no longer include "Other" in the title, as it looked clumsy. The usual way for cases like this is to use Wikipedia:Summary style. Have the list as main article with a section/entry for every school and spinout articles for separate schools if required. Hello!

I feel I should let you know I'm User:Zazaban just being too lazy to log in, not a newbie. Thank you anyway though! :D 66.183.11.233 (talk) 18:32, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on User archive- 1, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, file description page, file talk page, MediaWiki page, MediaWiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, user talk or special page from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirect to point to a mainspace page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your reasoning on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Archiving IP talk pages

So far as I have experienced, we do not archive IP talk pages, because whatever material is worth reviewing in those pages is available in the page history. If there is a particular historical version to which you would like to refer editors, you can just create a hardlink that historical version. That is also why we have tags like {{older}} and {{OW}}. Cheers! bd2412 T 03:24, 29 March 2011 (UTC)

Russia, China, India, Brazil and Germany were abstainers. Germany and Russia are Pro-Libya. All others voted to make a NFZ and protect civilians[[2]] Military strikes against Libya will take place "swiftly" and France will definitely participate, according to the French government spokesman Francois Baroin said in an interview on the 18th with RTL radio.[[3]]

Wipsenade, what are you trying to achieve with this table? you have put it in the talk pages of two articles (that I've noticed) but I'm not sure what it is for. Is it eventually to be moved into the articles, perhaps?
You mention that Russia and Germany are pro-Libya - do you mean pro-Gaddafi? Also, I'm not sure that your pro-Gadaff or rebel "sides" in the table are an accurate reflection of why those countries voted as they did. This is (ostensibly, at least) a humanitarian resolution, not taking sides.

regards, Lynbarn (talk) 10:50, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Isn't this table something more suitable for your sandbox than multiple talk pages? The key information is already in another article, using a well established formet: United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973. Regards, Lynbarn (talk) 13:47, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

State Of Completeness (talk) 04:08, 9 April 2011 (UTC) @ Wipsenade -

'Political Side' isn't accurate.

I hope you don't mind me saying this, but I wish you'd use a spellchecker for Articles! Grammar checker too, though it's mainly wrong spellings which stand out as looking pretty bad.
