Thanks for uploading Image:Digit zw.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sue Anne 03:30, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sundial

[edit]

I'm sure that I'm missing some subtle point, but exactly what distinction are you attempting to make in the following summary? "Correction - the style of the digital sundial is not parallel to the earth axis but the style's angle with horizontal equals the sundial's geographical latitude".[1] A line parallel to the earth axis makes an angle with the horizontal plane equal to the latitude, or so I think. Best wishes, Walter Siegmund (talk) 16:46, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, correction was not necessary. There is no distinction between "the style of the digital sundial is parallel to the earth axis" and "the style's angle with horizontal equals the sundial's geographical latitude". At the second formulation one can have a better idea of the direction of the style.User_talk:Willy Leenders 21:02, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I suspect that you are correct; for many, the latter formulation may be clearer. Thank you for your gracious response. Best wishes, Walter Siegmund (talk) 01:52, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
