Welcome
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --John Kerry + John Edwards 2004 01:47, 6 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Just noticed you were on the old "List of Wikipedians in Scotland" page but you're not on the new one. Add your name to http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Category:Wikipedians_in_Scotland if you want to. Just a heads-up from a fellow Greenockian. Nach0king 18:45, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Gallery of triband flags
[edit]An editor has nominated Gallery of triband flags, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gallery of triband flags and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. —fetch·comms 00:07, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
The article List of flags by design has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- WP:FORUM WP:NOTREPOSITORY This is pointless Original Research. There has been no rationale given for the choice of variables. It would be like conducting a scientific investigation with variables like the color of the investigator's socks, or what he had for breakfast. Cyprus is placed in a category of designs because of maps, but there is another category for those with plants. Who cares anyway? There could be some objectivity in articles about The Star of David to feature the flags that have that; or the Arab colors, the Tricolor, the African colors and the Jack. But apart from stuff like that the rest is just made-up nonesense
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Eugene-elgato (talk) 10:22, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
