A couple of thinks

[edit]

First please take some time and look at the formatting of other medical articles (for example bold text is very rarely used)

Second we use review articles for medical content Thanks --Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 19:10, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Also

[edit]

We write in prose rather than using numbered/lettered lists and as our audience is no one specific group we use person rather than "patient". Thus this edit was not ideal. [1]. If you wish further advice let me know. Also are you associated with a University class? I know a number of groups are doing class projects. Great welcome

[edit]

Wikipedia can be a little complicated to get the hang of at first but can be a lot of fun and a good way to learn medicine. I have added some review articles.

I recommend that you take some time and read about how things work before jumping in all the way :-) A couple of useful sources for starters are WP:MEDRS and WP:MEDMOS

There are also some easy techniques for adding sources that have PMIDs including one in the edit box. If you have not found it can provide further details.

Take some time and look at high quality articles such as gout and strep throat. This is the style we are trying to emulate. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 19:51, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

BTW the same tool has a feature for ISBNs in textbooks. Just make sure that what you are using is within the last 5 year... Review articles are still preferred though. --Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 19:53, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
