rejection of comments on https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Devi_Sridhar page
Hi,
It would be helpful to understand why comments on Prof. Sridhar's page were rejected as 'too promotional'. These are updates that were added based on a recent article profiling her published in the Lancet, as referenced. This is clearly evidenced, and accurate. Similarly, additional details about her second book were not included- details about her book are found here: https://www.healthaffairs.org/doi/pdf/10.1377/hlthaff.2017.0913
She recently published a letter in the Lancet on the 14th October- the John Snow Memorandum- also fully referenced in the edits. Is there any reason for not including this?
These are statements of fact, that add recent information that is important to Prof. Sridhar's profile page. Please clarify why none of these edits have been included, despite references for accuracy, and the fact that these reflect recent changes in information that is available.

- @Colorblind1: Hi! Let me again welcome you to Wikipedia and thank you are taking time to contribute. Much of what you added was indeed helpful, but there were a few issues. E.g. some of the content was not cited. I encourage you to edit the article again.
- You added this paragraph but did not provide any source:
- "During the pandemic, attacks on Devi Sridhar, and other prominent experts on social media have intensified leading colleagues to question the inherent misogyny in these attacks against an outspoken proponent of science-driven public health policy.
- Use of word "passion" looks promotional in this sentence:
- Her passion for public health stems from her adolescence in Florida, USA, where Sridhar's father died from cancer after years of illness. “Even as a teenager I could see that health was the definition of true wealth”, she recalled in an interview with the Lancet
- If you disagree with me please feel free to discuss with me or other editors on the article's talk. Again, the revert does not mean that your contribution was wrong or unhelpful, only that it needs more work before it is accepted. Cheers! Wikiuser13 (talk | contribs) 22:56, 17 October 2020 (UTC)

Don't do WP:POINTY edits like you are doing here and [1].
Just using edit summaries like "undoing content removal by xxx" are not enough. You have to explain in edit summary or talk page that why you are restoring the rejected content. Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 17:17, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Aman.kumar.goel: I left a message on your talk page as well as on the article's talk page. Regardless, I regret the kind of edit war that this lead to. Thanks for letting me know.
- You removed the message that I left on your talk about this. If I may request, please do not edit your own talk page as you did in this edit. Please take a look at WP:TPO. Cheers! Wikiuser13 (talk | contribs) 19:47, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Aman.kumar.goel: If you agree that the said edit violates Wikipedia's policies, could you please revert it on your talk page? Thanks. Wikiuser13 (talk | contribs) 19:50, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
- I didn't modify or botch your comment. It was more of about topic than my conduct and hence I removed it altogether to keep discussion it at one place and keeping only relevant messages there. It doesn't violate WP:TPO at all. Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 03:39, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Aman.kumar.goel: Sorry, but it does violate the guideline. Deleting is not how you keep discussion at one place. First, you said that I did not "write in talk page" and now you are saying that you deleted the comment to "keep discussion at one place". I hope you see the contradiction. I again request you to reconsider your decision. Best regards. Wikiuser13 (talk | contribs) 14:20, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
- I think you are a bit confused comprehending my comments. By talk page, I meant article talk page. First, let me know which part of WP:TPO I violated. Secondly you should also read WP:OWNTALK. Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 14:35, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
- I really don't think that there is any reason to restore that comment. Since you are so keen on its restoration, you should have a valid reason. I don't wish to congest my talk page with every message I get. Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 14:42, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
