George Durnan

[edit]

Hi Wikiprimz Contrary to your recent edit on the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse page, the name of the keeper who informed Robertson of the ghost story was definitely George. James was his father. See John Ross Robertson, Landmarks of Toronto, Fifth Series (Toronto: 1908), pp. 378-85. (available on archive.org at https://archive.org/stream/landmarkstoronto05robeuoft#page/379/mode/2up)

See this link for a transcription: https://1812andallthat.wordpress.com/robertsons-account/

For an article on the Durnans, including a photo of George talking with Robertson, see here: http://janefairburn.com/the-durnans-of-toronto-island-over-170-years-on-toronto-bay/ In light of this evidence, I reverted your edit.
